Vehicle Detail

Relisted due to non-payment.! This sale is because I no longer have the time to completed this project. Up for sale is a 1973 Triumph Trophy Trail. This model was built for only 2 years and production of it was not re-started after the 18 month plant sit-in at Triumph. With that said, this is a fun bike, (it was my friend's) and he sold it to me. The good news, clear title, matching engine/frame numbers, engine is complete. Many NOS parts were purchased for restoration. Frame has almost no rust! Items needing repair: Top End of engine needs Valve Job. (My friend failed to adjust the valves after he bout it new and rode it until it lost power). He wanted to strip it down and repaint it while the engine was going to be fixed. He never got past stripping it down. I bought it knowing the valves needed work & his wife threw out a box of parts. Items missing: Rear and Front Fenders, Handle Bar Switch (dip, flasher, horn), Pedal Rubbers (kick & gear levers both are in good condition, just missing rubbers), Fuel Petcocks (both levers broken). NOS Items purchased: Speedometer and Tachometer (both sent out to be serviced by Joel Levine Company) NOS Tachs and Speedos need fresh grease because the 30+ year old stuff isn't going to work correctly. New Seat, I paid to have the original seat supplier for Triumph in England make a fresh new seat with new foam cover and bottom pan. Better than NOS! ( It wasn't cheap either) Turn Signals (qty. 4) Tail Light Assembly Chrome Rear Fender Stay Special Items purchased: Halogen conversion to original Lucas Headlight, Oil cooler, Side covers - professionally repainted w/new decals added. (picture has relections in it) , Progressively wound front fork springs, new from Progressive Spring Co. Items needing attention: Wiring Harness, all control cables, chain and sprockets, tires, and possibly rims, (very light rust in one place.) chrome chain guard has specks of rust. Aluminum Fuel tank has four (4) small dents This is best I can describe the overall condition. This is a project bike, it is not running.
