Vehicle Detail
I am selling my Guards Red Porsche 911. I have owned this car for years- trying to remember but I think I bought this car in 2005 is my best guess. I drive the car occasionally throughout the year- only logging 3000-5000 miles a year. The car stays in a garage covered its entire life. Last fall I replaced the top with a brand new exterior and interior liner. This cost several thousand dollars and I had other minor repairs and maintenance done around the car. The oil and air filters have been changed religiously. This car has never been in rain barely and never in salt or snow. The tires are new and these tires are expensive! The car was just inspected last week and so the car is ready to be daily driven without spending a dime. The only area that is lacking is the front seats have some cracks in them and the carpets are original and a bit tired- the newer floor mats cover most of the carpet and the seats have some cracks. All the leather for these Porsches is still very available and any upholstery place can make the spot repairs if you like. Otherwise a couple of nice 911 seat covers would keep you looking great for cheap. The wheels on this car are from a later model Porsche- not sure the year- but I love the more modern look mixed with the older bathtub style body of the 87's. This car is a head turner for sure. The steering wheel is after market for a much smaller and sportier look vs the stock steering wheel. The radio is an after market too and I spent $800 on it and a top of the line amplifier. The speakers don't sound right and could use replacing- I guess I played the radio a bit too loud one or two trips...this is cheap and easy to do. I have pointed to a couple of paint blemishes- the first is a tiny dent on the hood- small and not noticeable. The others are some touch ups that are minor. The air conditioner works but needs a re-charge each season and I have not bothered since I rarely use it (typical of this age car). I have a cover for the car which is tired but functional. I dont know what else to say except I hate to sell this but I have college kids and the costs just keep skyrocketing! I love the car- it runs perfectly, drives like a Porsche, is reliable, beautiful and worthy as an investment vehicle or weekend sun chaser. If you would like to see it in person please feel free to contact me for a personal view and test drive. This vehicle has never been smoked in and is pet free.
