*NO RESERVE CALIFORNIA 1968 AMC 390 AMX GO PACKAGE LOW ORIGINAL MILES* This is truly a one of a kind classic and very desirable 1968 AMX offered for sale with 72,497 extremly low documented mile that was bought brand new in dry Southern California.This is a rust free survivor of the very limited production run of AMC's effort to compete in the ever challenging Detriot Hi-performance market.Some say its the best looking American Motors ever!This was ordered with the special Go package 390 V-8 engine with power steering and power brakes(disc brake delete,which was a $15 credit off the sticker price).The car is automatic.The car was used very little by the original owner and was then bought in the mid 1980's by the second owner with only 59K original miles.A man in Arizona bought the car and took the car to occassional shows and events and was not driven much.The car was always pampered and garaged.This is a very rare and factory original color combination.The Rally Green Metallic paint(code 47A) was professionally refinished recently.The car has an unbelievable original rust free body.The car is accident free.The body is super straight with nice fitting body panels.The paint was done expertly by a professional auto painter,who specializes in older classic automobiles.The only reason the car was refinished was because the original paint was getting too thin.The inner door jambs and fender aprons in the engine compartment still have the original factory paint.The light tan interior is in absolutely in supurb condition.The seats are brand new with complete new molded seat cushion foam to keep that original look and fit.The carpet is brand new as is the headliner.The door panels,however,are the original ones still in excellent condition.The dash and console are in very good original shape.The gauges and tachometer all function well.The original AM radio still works.The chrome on the car is all original and in excellent condition with exception to the front bumper,which was re-done.It still has the original factory sport style wheel with beauty rings,center caps,and chrome lug nuts.The engine compartment is totally original with the matching correct 390 V-8 engine.The engine id located on the passenger valve cover reads #104W16.The car runs and drives beautifully.There is no known fluid leaks and has super power.The dual exhaust system is fairly new and totally correct.Good brakes and suspension.Easy and fun to drive.Can be driven around town or long distance and will get you to anywhere you want to go.The trunk compartment has a superb original floor with the original green paint still visible with no surface rust and no holes.The space saver spare has never been used.The correct trunk mat was replaced and there is a cover for the spare.All the weatherstrippings are in great shape.It has a very nice original and very clean engine compartment.This is a rare and unusual opportunity to own a limited production,factory correct,matching code high performance muscle car that is in amazing condition.You will probably be the only one in your town or state to have one of these rare sportscars,so good luck bidding!
