I am listing this 1988 Dodge D50 turbo diesel for a friend. I sold him the truck back in 2005. The engine has 31000 miles/820 hours on a complete rebuild that included new: pistons, rings, sleeves, rod bearings, main bearings, balancer shaft bearings. NEW CYLINDER HEAD with new valves, valve guides, valve seats, injectors, and turbo center section. So the engine of course runs like new. The transmission is a five speed manual it shifts smooth with no strange noises. The transfer case has Hi/Lo range and works good. I would drive this truck to any point in the US. I made several trips to Wyoming with this truck and if driven nicely it will get 35MPG. The turbo charged engine is very strong and has plenty of power plus it will start in any condition. This truck was originally gas powered with an automatic my 1984 diesel was rusted out so I transplanted the engine and transmission into the 1988. All the gauges work, plus we added a boost gauge, tachometer with hour meter, mechanical oil pressure, temp, and voltage. The body is rough and it has a little rust but it is very dependable.
