          1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible 65,865 original miles, Texas Car, runs great Restored - Black Exterior, White Interior, 1 of 5,089            VIN 136671K183826         Up for sale is my fully restored awesome 1971 Chevelle SS Convertible.  This says ‘muscle’ all the way.  The car was recreated as an SS.  It has a new GM Crate Engine, the ZZ4, which runs fantastic and puts out 355hp.  The car is just as fast as an old 396 car if not faster.  This car has great black exterior /white interior combo which turns lots of heads.  These Chevelle Convertibles are rare cars.  There were only 5,089 Convertible Chevelles produced in 1971.  That makes it more rare than the 1968 Camaro Z28 and the 1970 Camaro Z28.  Not many 71 Chevelle Convertibles seen driving down the road.  How many are left, who knows but they aren’t making any more of them that’s for sure.   This is nice clean rust free Texas car, with Texas title in hand.  The car shows 65,865 miles which I feel may be original.  This car looks awesome in black and gets thumbs up and compliments everywhere I go.     The car has the following options and improvements: ZZ4 350 GM crate engine, mild cam, 4bbl carburetor, automatic transmission w/shift kit, 3” dual exhaust, power top, power disc brakes, power steering, all new interior seat covers and door panels.  The transmission has had a shift kit put in, trans shifts good and firm. The undercarriage is clean, no rust issues.  The paint is not a show quality job, but shines very nicely.  Tires have very nearly 100% tread.   This car has factory A/C but its not hooked up.  The car also has front bumper guards, a tilt steering column, power top and a newer AM/FM CD player in the dash.  Speakers are hooked up to the dash and some external speakers sitting on the back seat.  Everything works on this car, even the lighter.  Only thing needs to be fixed is the power top (now its up and down manually).  The switch and motor and lines are all there, I think it needs fluid in the lines.  The convertible top is in good shape with no rips or tears.  The back window is glass.  The wheels are the original SS wheels, but painted silver.  I installed black wheel caps that I think go well with the car.  It has the SS hood pins, wheel well moldings and SS stripes.   This car runs excellent, is quick and it also rides down the road very nicely; suspension is in line with the best of all convertibles I have ridden in.   This car has been well maintained; all the stainless and trim moldings are real nice.  Exterior mirror chrome and door handle chrome is real nice too.  The car comes with a full sized spare tire and jack equipment.   Also include with the sale is the original Chevrolet Chevelle owners manual and an original GM dealers brochure for 1971 (not a reprints).  The factory top boot (see pictures) is mint as well.     I think that this car will appreciate in value over the next several years and is better than money sitting in your bank account, since you can enjoy the car while it appreciates (should appreciate faster than the interest from the loan for that matter).  This is a great example of a true Musclecar and it’s one of 5,089 convertibles made.         Lots of bucks have been spent on this car, you couldn’t build this Chevelle Convertible for the reserve price, …my loss will be your gain.  Good luck.       (scroll down to see more pictures & link to video clips)   Exterior         Engine       Interior       Trunk and Undercarriage     Documents                     ****For video clips of the car click these links:     Movie #1      Movie #2       Movie #3      Movie #4        Movie #5     Movie #6       Movie #7                  My feedback speaks for itself, so bid with confidence.  I have sold many muscle cars from my private collection with very happy buyers, please read my feedback…..Please email with any questions prior to bidding.
