Vehicle Detail
I really hate to sell this and thought I never would but the economy forces me to do so. Did so much work on this that I hope I can remember everything as I list it. Have all the receipts for the work done and all the parts purchased for the restoration so that will show the new owner what was done. This is a beautiful 1970 Chevelle that has been in California its entire life. Still has the original blue plates and sheet metal. When I replaced the carpet I noticed the floor pans were all factory and I was able to save the build sheet although a bit stained one can still see the information when held up to a light. I hand wrote the data onto a blank sheet for easy reading. Also have the original protecto plate and owners manual so there is documentation that goes along with the car. The work done included sanding down the trunk epoxy primer then spraying correct spatter paint. New rear wiring harness was installed. Sanding down the entire engine compartment to the bare metal, epoxy primer then spraying with correct black paint. This included sanding and painting the underside of the hood and putting in new insulation. The interior was also sanded down and painted the correct black/glod colors as well as the silver lines and words on the dash. New sound proofing material was put down before the new carpet was installed. The exterior painting is pretty good and is very close to the original color. This was done by the previous owner. Besides repainting the interior and putting in new carpet, a new restored original AM radio was installed with two new dash speakers, new package tray, new seat foam dash cluster cleaned and detailed with all new bulbs installed. New heater core and blower motor along with air ducts also put in. The engine is a new GM crate motor V-8 350 with less then 400 total miles on it. I also have the original engine block/heads that match the car that also go with the car if the new owner wants it. It is good but needs to be rebuilt. So along with the new engine are all new parts on the exterior of the engine. New hoses, plugs/wires, all new engine wiring harnesses, new radiator, brake booster/master cylinder. The transmission is a turbo 350 that also has been rebuilt and shifts great. The only problem is that the speedometer gear installed was not correct so the speedometer shows a greater speed then you are actually travelling. That is a minor fix that I have not done. The entire underneath has been sanded and the frame painted with Eastwood chassis extreme paint. The rest of the bottom has a new thick coat of rubberized undercoating. All new KYB shocks, Flowmaster exhaust and new control arm bushings. New gas tank and sending unit along with all new tires that have about 500-600 miles on them. The differential was drained and new synthetic gear oil was installed. This car drives great, sounds great and is so much fun the drive. I really hate to sell it and would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. I am sure there are some things that were done to it that I have missed so feel free to ask any questions.
