Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe in very good condition. VIN # ZFFYR51B000117571. I had it for 2 years. But since family is growing, it is time to move on with a bigger vehicle. The car is spairingly used and is never tracked or driven hard. This particular car is a European model having sold originally in Germany. It was however brought to the USA in a matter of weeks and is fully federalized. I have all the necessary DOT and EPA paperwork. I have a clear title in hand that can be transferred immediately upon receipt of payment. 22,600 miles might be considered a bit high for an exotic like this, but personally, I would prefer this over a 5000 mile car. Ask any expert and they will tell that these cars need to driven regularly. I have made it a point that it is started atleast once a week to do a proper warm up; then it would get driven atleast 10 to 15 miles to get the fluids to optimum temperature and get all the bearings worked. The “low mileage” cars sat in the garage for 6 to 8 months at a time and these hi rpm intricate engines simply don’t like that. The differences between the US and European models are subtle; most changes are desirable. Europe doesn’t have the min ground clearance restriction and so the Euro models come lowered from the factory. The exhaust is free flow and so it makes better power and the noise is throatier than the restricted US model. Headlights are superior E-code, but whether it has been federalized is unknown. There are no visible DOT marks on the headlights though. The European spec factory ECU has slightly different fuel mapping and such that are geared more towards performance than emission control. As you can see, this 360 has a regular 6-speed manual that is preferred by enthusiasts. The gated shifter is precise as a Swiss watch and is a joy to shift. Most cars that are available for sale have the F1 automated manual transmission with no clutch. It was available as an option primarily for the American market and it is known to have actuator problems and is a pig when it comes to maintenance. I have heard of cars that has consumed over $15,000 in maintenance on that gearbox. Early cars also need ECU upgrade for it to cope up with traffic. Stay away from it if you can. After all, what is the fun in having a Ferrari that has no clutch! Car has all the original keys (2 in total), 3 clickers, jack, tool kit with fuses, bulbs and belt and all original manuals. Options and upgrades: · 6 Speed gated manual transmission with clutch (F1 manumatic gearboxes are troublesome and are expensive to maintain) · Ferrari Carbon Fiber Racing seats with heavy bolsters(Very rare) · 6-point seat belts can be installed with ease with the racing seats. · Rear Challenge Grid (Challenge Grill) · GFG 3-piece forged wheels; 19”X8.5” front and 20”X10.5” rear · Yokohama AVS sport 235/35 ZR19 front tires · Yokohama S-drive 285/30 R20 rear tires · Sony Drive-S CD system · All original paperwork and receipts · Roll Bar with full padding Work done on it recently: · New Rear Tires * New Timing Belt · New Clutch · New Clutch Master cylinder · New Air-conditioner compressor Not so good: · Front bumper is repainted due to minor paint chips and had holes left by European plates and later US plates. I have pictures from before painting if you want to see them. · Rear bumper has minor paint chips in the wheel wells from stones thrown by the rear tire that are left as is. · The leather seat covers has minor wear marks at the seams; I might get touched up should I find a good leather restorer. · Scratches on the center console and a few other locations on the dash. Nothing over the top for a 10 year old car. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE BEFORE YOU BID. HITTING BUY IT NOW IS CERTAINLY NOT A PRE-REQUISITE TO COME SEE THE CAR. IT IS A COMMITMENT TO BUY. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO PAY. I DO NOT FINANCE CARS; SO PLEASE SECURE FINANCING BEFORE HAND. I AM WILLING TO ACCEPT SENSIBLE OFFERS ON THE CAR. HOWEVER, IF YOUR OFFER GETS ACCEPTED, YOU ARE BOUND TO BUY THE CAR. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE OFFERS FOR FUN AND BE A TIME WASTER. It is a 10 year old car and so no warranty is expressed or implied. I have however given a very honest description and the car is well taken care of. NO buyer’s premium, dealer fees or sales tax is due at the time of sale since this is a private seller sale. You will save a ton of money over buying from dealers.
