1948 cadillac model series 62, 4 dr. hydra matic automatic transmission, 126 in wheelbase 150 hp. This car has very little if any rust & i have a clear title. Cadilliac started production in late Feb 1948 for this year demand was higher than supply but there was only time to build 52,706 cars in 1948. Base price in 1948 was $2910.00 to $3440.00 weight is 4180 lbs. with top speed of 90.118 mph. It has a cast iron block. Total production for 1948 was 23,997 sedans. This model was designed by Franklin Q. Hershey & has inverted horseshoe instrument cluster. I have had this car in my barn for the last 10 years. It was my father-in-laws car and he no longer drives, and now is in nursing home. I last started the car a couple of years ago. the engineturns over good and with very little work could be roadworthy. Brakes are down, but did work good last driven. Tires still in good shape and hold air. Interior has the original seat covers and the ones from the factory were just removed to show the original ones under them No tears or wear spots.The mileage shows 39,000 miles but cant say that it is true or not.
