Vehicle Detail

THIS VEHICLE IS NOT IN RUNNING CONDITION 1991 Chevy S-10 Pickup for parts or rebuild This is a relisted auction. The original winning bid was at $405, but the winner didn't follow through on the transaction. So, here we go again! I am the original owner of this 1991 model Chevy S-10, which I purchased brand new in October of 1990. It served me very well until I ran into engine trouble. I've tried to find another engine to put into it, but haven't had any luck, so I've reluctantly decided to sell. I'm hoping someone who loves this model as much as I do might be able to make use of the parts, or maybe even get it running again with a rebuilt engine (2.5 liter, 4 cylinder). Note: This is a compact pickup with a 6-foot bed. The wheelbase is 108.3 inches. This truck definitely looks its age, but it has a lot of character! Aside from the visible rusting of the body, here are some other known problems: The gas level sensor doesn't work properly, so the fuel gauge reads just under a half tank when the tank is completely full. The gas tank has a small pinhole on the underside, which I have plugged with epoxy sealer. The air conditioning system is out of coolant, so doesn't cool. I never converted it (it's still set up for R12). The muffler is in need of replacement. The floorboard on the driver's side has a hole near the gas pedal. I just threw a thick mat over it and never had any trouble. The hub cap is missing from the left rear tire. One of the hinges for the glove box door is broken, so you have to fiddle with it to shut it. The upholstery on the driver's side is very worn out to where you can see the foam padding underneath. As you can see in the picture of the engine, a valve ended up being embedded sideways on one of the pistons! If I think of anything else I'll add it to the list. Feel free to message me with any questions! One note on the truck's history: She's been involved in two minor fender benders: One in October of 1991 and another in July of 2001. The damage to the body was completely repaired on both occasions. I do have the original title that was issued when I first purchased the truck. Free and clear! Please note that the Owner's Manual is in good condition, and is included. I will even throw in my Haynes repair manual! This truck had 177,453 miles on it when the engine died. Would you like to give it a good home? :-) Again, this vehicle is NOT in running condition, so you will need to tow it away after finalizing the purchase. Please message me if you have any questions. I usually respond in less than a day. I prefer PayPal. Happy bidding!!!
