1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Drag Car. I don't know a lot about the car, but I will try and describe it as best I can. The car is tubbed, and has a nice roll cage and decent aluminum interior. The drivetrain consist of a small block 400 cu. in. Chevy motor that sounds beefy and backed by a Turbo 350 transmission with a 4500 stall convertor. I do not know anything about the internal parts of the motor, but it cranks easily and starts each and every time and sounds like it will move the car down the track quickly. It will smoke the tires as it should. Narrowed 9" Ford rear end with 4:56 gears, ladder bars and coil over shocks. I don't know if the rear end has a spool, but it definitely has a posi. Disc brakes on all 4 corners with a new master cylinder. Line lock, electric water pump and electric fans hooked to an aluminum radiator. Fresh paint that is decent but not show quality. Fuel cell with electric fuel pump. I have never raced the car, so I don't know what kind of time it will run, but it is race ready and a brake car with NO electronics. Tach and gauges work. The tach has a shift light. Rachet shifter. I am selling the car at a very LOW RESERVE so you could actually buy the car at a roller price, so you would be getting the drivetrain FREE. I am selling the car as is with no warranty either written or expressed. The car DOES NOT have a TITLE. I am selling on a Bill of Sale ONLY. Let me repeat, NO TITLE, BILL OF SALE ONLY. Please do not think you can put this car back on the street. It cannot be done, unless you have a ton of money. It is a race car, no lights, no wiper, no horn, no title. Hoosier slicks are in good condition, as are the front runners. The body is decent for a race car. The top is removeable easily with two pins in the front and two bolts on the sides. Fiberglass hood removes with 4 pins. Scoop is pop rivited on but not molded into the hood. Again it is an inexpensive race car. You are welcome to come view the car in person, crank it up, run down the drive, then bid to own. The trailer IS NOT included in the auction and IS NOT for sale. DO NOT bid if you do not have the funds to pay for your purchase. The car is for sale locally, so I will end the auction if sold here, but once the reserve has been met, it will sell on eBay.
