Beautiful shape '66 American Rambler 440. New top, paint, interior refinished, dash is all original (original radio even works), front end completely redone, aluminum mag wheels with 195/60R14 tires. The engine is a rebuilt AMC 360 CID (from '72 Ambassador, we even used with original V-8 crossmember from '67 American with N.O.S. motor mounts). New pistons, rods, rings, seals, timing chain, all bearings, waterpump, medium-high rise cam for mid to high-range RPM acceleration. Intake manifold is an Edelbrock Torker, with 4bbl 600 Holley carburator. This engine has the dog-leg exhaust ports with the high-flow cast iron exhaust manifolds. Dual exhaust run back through some sweet sounding turbo mufflers. The transmission came with the engine from the Ambassor. It is a Chrysler 727, rebuilt and ugraded with shift-kit and rachet B&M shifter. I found this beauty in storage at a garage sale about 10 years ago. Only 2092 of these were made. The body was perfectly straight, but the original 6-cylinder engine was gone. Found the V8 engine and tranny at a local salvage yard and had them rebuilt and installed with OEM crossmember and parts. The top and interior was done locally. This car is a great cruiser and parade car. Has great sound and feel. Am selling it because I just don't have space. The car comes with all the spare parts I've obtained over the past 10 years. Also, new rebuilt Edelbrock 4bbl carb (I'm not totally happy with the Holley and the Edelbrock is easier to tune). The paint is very sparkly - you may consider re-painting to your taste. I can deliver it if with 100 miles of Denver.
