Vehicle Detail
Plymouth: 1941 Plymouth Miles: 999,999 Doors: 4-Door Sedan Engine: 318 Transmission: Unknown Year: 1941 Warranty: No Title: Clear Exterior: Black Interior: Black/Tan Condition: Used Vehicle Description: This is a 1941 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan. This is NOT A STOCK VEHICLE AND IS NOT PRESENTLY RUNNING OR DRIVEABLE. A comment on the year of the vehicle: I’ve been told this is a 1940, due to the side-opening hood. However, I am advertising/listing/selling the vehicle as a 1941 because the current Colorado title says it is a 1941. I have another vehicle on the way and this one has to go!! The Body: This is a 4-Door Sedan, with “suicide doors”, with the rear doors opening from the B-pillar, toward the rear. There is rust in the car though I would not consider the rust to be excessive, compared to some of the “project” cars I’ve looked at. The metal is actually in fairly decent shape for a project vehicle. The Interior: The interior is pretty basic. There is a steering column, a front and back seat from another year vehicle, and there are no gauges installed in the dash. The drive train: The Plymouth body is setting on a Chevrolet S-10 chassis. I do not know what year the chassis is, only that the chassis came from an S-10. There is a Dodge 318 with an automatic in the car, based on what I was told. I’ve not attempted to verify this, because I would not be leaving the current engine and transmission in the car if I were going to go through it. I was told, repeat, I was told, the engine ran at the time it was pulled from the donor vehicle and installed in this car. It also appears the rear end was changed from the S-10 rear end to another model GM rear end, as the rear end is now a 5-on-5 bolt pattern. General: This is a non-running, project vehicle. I do have a clean, clear Colorado title in my name and I can transfer the vehicle to a buyer immediately upon receiving payment. This is an excellent project vehicle at a reasonable price. As can be seen in the pictures, there are a number of items in the truck, included in the sale. I’ve not taken out and inventoried everything, but among the items in the truck are window glasses, a steer column, fan shroud, power steering pump, some window regulators, a gas tank (not in particularly good condition), and some other miscellaneous items. NOTE: The rear wheels in the picture are for another vehicle and will be replaced prior to the sale with another set of 5-on-5 stock, steel wheels. Price: There is a reserve on this vehicle and the vehicle is for sale locally. However, if the car makes reserve, I will let the auction run the duration and the high bidder will be the new owner. QUESTIONS: If you have any questions, please DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK. I have never had any negative feedback, in my limited eBay experiences, either buying or selling, and I don’t want to start now! Payment Methods: A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required within 48 hours, either by cash, certified check, or PayPal. Certified funds (Cashier’s Check from a U.S. bank or money order) or cash (if picking up the vehicle in person) is required for the balance. Full Payment: The balance must be paid within 7 days. Pickup or Shipping: Buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping. I will work with the buyer to arrange for delivery or shipping. Contact me concerning delivery, if you are less than 250 miles from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Questions: I’ll answer all questions, there’s nothing to hide. E-mail me or call 719-749-2924 evenings and weekends (leave a message, we don’t answer all calls). If I’m not at home, my cell phone is 719-649-3722.
