1969 Mercury 250E. Decent amatuer restoration. Repainted hood, cowl, skis, front bumper is painted silver. Most of the notorious Mercury wiring has been replaced, as is the ignition switch. This machine has the rare synthetic track, which is in good shape. It does have cracks in the outer layer, but the inner layer is good. All the track guides are in place. I have had a few of these over the years and they had the steel belted track, which in cold weather would not want to turn right away. This one spins easily. I had never heard of a synthetic track for these, but I could tell right away that this one was different from the others I have had. Bogies are nice as are the skis. Just put new wear rods on the skis. Electric start works great and the machine fires up well with no nicks or knocks from the engine, Drive belt is almost new also. Machine is fine for shows, but will need a little carb work to be a vintage ride sled, power varies when you run it. The seat needs new vinyl, a very easy fix on these. Gas tank is clean, gas guage is new, fuel filter is new. You are welcome to come and inspect this sled, we still have a little snow in the back, enough to take it for a ride.
