1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. 4.0 straight six, 5 sp manual, Soft top, AC. Metalic green. 128,000 miles. $6950 obo – definitely open to reasonable offers. Check Blue Book, eBay and other listings, I think this is a reasonable asking price, but I’m willing to make a deal. I am the third owner, have had it since Nov. 2008. Just smogged March 25th and I have a CARFAX report for you and clean title in hand. No mechanical problems. Starts easily, runs and shifts smooth. Lights, AC/heater blower, wipers, etc. all working and body and interior are in good shape. Only non-working component is overhead interior light. I think previous owner disconnected it, but I’ve never looked into it. Paint is still shiny though there are some light scratches on the hood and doors around key holes. Currently driven nearly every day without any issues. Interior is good with nothing broken, ripped, torn, etc. Everything is clean and working, just showing some fading color here and there. When I bought the Jeep I replaced all 4 shocks and the steering stabilizer shock with Rancho RSX shocks – It has a nice solid ride. I also replaced the original soft top with a BestTop sailcloth soft top about 2 years ago. In 2010 the driveshaft u-joints, front and rear differential seals and rear diff yolk were replaced due to wear of the originals. The shocks and drive train work were done by 4Wheel Parts in Thousand Oaks. About 1 year ago I changed the spark plugs and installed new wires. I change the oil and filters regularly. The only problems I know of are mainly cosmetic. There is a scratch on the top of the left front fender, no rust. There is a chip in the windshield that has been there as long as I’ve owned it. I had a glass repair dude come to repair it, but turns out it was already previously repaired. I haven’t noticed any changes in it. The right fog light lens is cracked, but still works. The running boards and bumper guards are solid but have the typical staining and pitting due to road debris. That’s it. Mechanically it has been trouble free and runs strong.
