The Good The car is in excellent condition! Clean title in hand and Inspected. It has a new engine with approximately 7,000 miles that was professionally installed by Mazda under the RX8 engine recall warranty. It’s under warranty until 12,000 miles. It includes new coils, plugs, and wires as well. I have the receipts for all work completed. The car runs very strong and I’ve followed all new engine break-in procedures. I have the compression test results to prove it. The body has 102,xxx miles (daily driver) but you could never tell. Several people have mistook it for a 2008! It just recently had its second oil change and new rear brake pads installed. The front breaks are good. It has a K&N intake and a Greddy exhaust which add performance and make it sound unbelievable! The clutch is decent and the transmission is strong and shifts smooth like butter. All tires are fairly new, about 85% tread remaining. Everything about this car works exactly as it should. The ride is fast, smooth and comfy yet tight and sporty. It really is the ultimate all-around car! On a side note…It’s obvious this car has never been raced or beat on, but if you’re looking to take an RX8 to the track, this is the best model to do it with. It’s the most rigid (no sunroof) and lightest (no leather) which equals the quickest/fastest. This is the true driver’s RX8! Also from what I was told by the mechanic at the dealer, the 04’s had the least amount of emissions. The body looks amazing! Especially being a 7 year old car. The paint shines great and there’s hardly a scratch to speak of. You can tell this car was garaged most of its life. It also comes with the highly desired factory aero kit which includes front lip, side aero flares, rear aero flares, and rear spoiler which are very costly. The interior is in good condition. The back seats look like they’ve hardly ever been used. The car is already hooked up for a speaker system. Just add your amp and sub and your ready to go! Minor Issues There is a minor dent on the driver’s side fender but it’s hardly noticeable and could be easily popped out. The wheels look new, except for the driver side on the lip has just a little curb rash. The headlights are just a little foggy but still shine bright and could be easily cleared up with some headlight cleaner. The driver side taillight has some moisture buildup; it doesn’t affect its function and this happens to almost all the RX8’s at this age. The interior is in good condition with only a small light minor stain on the passenger seat that’s hardly noticeable. The center console sliding door doesn’t stay shut, most likely because it just needs a spring. This also happens to almost all of these cars. These things sound far worse than they really are and most people wouldn’t even mention any of it. I just know what it’s like to buy cars on Ebay. I want to make you feel comfortable buying this car so I’m just trying to mention everything in detail so you know exactly what you’re getting. However, I do encourage you to come check out the car in person and take it for a test drive to understand the real beauty of this car. Overall Rating: Mechanical: 10/10 Exterior: 9/10 Interior: 8.75/10 When you buy this car you really are getting a like-new RX-8 for 1/3 the price. Just a note, I owned the car in Massachusetts until about 2 months ago when I moved to CA. So the car has MA plates and inspection but is located with me in Studio City, CA.
