Vehicle Detail
Vehicle Description and Specs If you are looking at this listing, you already know what the bike is, so I won't waste your reading time. Vehicle Condition This bike was purchased as a restoration project, but I have lost both time and interest. It needs attention everywhere. See photos for better idea. The engine is stuck and must come apart. Chrome is usable in some places, but mostly pitted and rusty. Exhaust system is original, but it has holes, I have been told people can restore them to like new, but I have never investigated this and would have no clue what it would cost to do such work. The gas tank has rust, but I have seen much worse that have cleaned and salvaged. The left side cover has a chip out of it, the other is okay. The one thing this project bike has going for it is that is all original and complete (except for one later model lever) and with under 6k miles on it, the lower end should be in good shape. For that reason, I do not wish to tear it down and sell it for parts. For instance, I know the gas tank and matching covers are going for well over my starting price for the bike, but I think someone should save this one. For any other questions regarding the condition that I may not have answered for you, please do not hesitate to contact me BEFORE bidding. Who I Am I understand the difficulty of trying to bid on a motorcycle you've never actually seen. Please email me and I will send you my phone number so you can call me. I'll tell you everything I can about this motorcycle. I want you to feel confident about what to expect from this bike and from me. I have been a long-time eBayer with a perfect record, and I intend to keep it that way. What we should both expect during this transaction is no surprises. The Legal Mumbo: Terms of Sale If you are new to online auctions, please read eBay's User Agreement guide for buyers. At successful close of this auction, the motorcycle is considered sold to the highest bidder. Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this motorcycle. If you have questions or concerns, please address them before bidding. When you win, you win, and it’s a done deal. I will contact the winning bidder by e-mail after the auction closes. You must respond by email within 24 hours to confirm your purchase. Deposit and Balance Payments The winning bidder of this motorcycle must arrange payment of a $75.00 non-refundable deposit within three days of close of auction. I will not accept a personal check for the deposit. Deposit payment can be via PayPal, but I am not a dealer, so if you wish to pay via credit card through PayPal, that is acceptable, but I would really rather you didn’t. I will also accept verifiable certified or cashiers checks. After confirmed payment, at buyer's request, I can fax or mail you a copy of the title and a signed “intent of sale contract” in consideration of receipt of full payment – it’s just one of those things I like to have myself after I have left a deposit on a big-ticket item. If the $75.00 deposit (or full payment) is not received within three business days, I reserve the right to consider the transaction null and void and re-list or sell the motorcycle to the next highest bidder. The balance of the selling price must be made within ten (10) days. NOTE: I will not accept a personal check or credit card for the balance of the full payment on this motorcycle. Contact me is you have a question about my acceptance for the remainder of payment, and please remember to allow that any certified or cashiers check must be verified and/or clear my bank before I proceed with the transaction. Upon verification of full payment, I will send you the title via USPS Express Mail. Of course, all transactions noted above can be conducted in person upon delivery of the motorcycle. I would rather do it that way, anyway. Contact me to discuss any other arrangements. Representations and Warranties made by seller This motorcycle is being sold "as is." There are absolutely NO representations or warranties made by the seller other than those already delineated on this auction web page. I reserve the right to end or cancel this auction if the motorcycle is no longer available. In addition, I reserve the right to cancel bids or the auction, and re-list the vehicle at any time at my discretion for such reasons as: bid retractions occur in the last 24 hours, bidders have insufficient positive feedback, or high bidder has excessive negative feedback. If you have less than five positive feedbacks, please contact me. Please do not bid if you do not intend to complete this transaction or you are financially unable to purchase this motorcycle. Taxes and Registration Fees The buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees as well as title service fees in the state in which the vehicle will be registered. Shipping The winning bidder pays for ANY and ALL shipping and handling costs. If you are not going to pick this motorcycle up, please check with shipper before bidding. I will help coordinate shipper pick up, but will not help with crating or partial dismantling for purposes of crating the bike. I can deliver the motorcycle to any shipping or drop-off point within 50 miles, or the bike can be picked up locally. While I will help and advise throughout the process, all shipping arrangements are up to the winning bidder. I have no control over, and cannot be responsible for shippers’ timetables or any damage incurred in shipping. There are many small and large companies now available that will ship motorcycles. Type “motorcycle shippers” in your browser and just pick one – I have been seeing “Allied Van Lines” as a preferred shipper of late. Good luck!
