1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Diesel NeuSpeed Biodiesel Ready This is a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI w/1.9L diesel engine; it has a 5 speed transmission, A/C, PDL, and Cloth Interior the engine has 265,000 miles. The car was just fully serviced. I just put 2000.00 into this car and now the turbo went on it. I cannot afford to put anymore into this car, although it runs great and gets fantastic fuel mileage; I need a truck to pull a boat. I just got done putting a list of new parts into this car, it ran great for a week and then the turbo gave out on it. It doesn’t really smoke much; it just doesn’t pull hard at high rpm. The car is in great shape overall, Very little rust on the car, the interior has been well taken care of. Here is a list of what was just done to the car: · New water pump · New timing Belt · New timing Tensioner · New head gasket · New breather tube, and hoses · New gasket and seals in Cylinder head · New brakes · EGR Valve was cleaned · Intake was cleaned · Intake tubes, turbo cooler cleaned · New oil 5W-40 Full synthetic w/Oil filter · All rubber gaskets were changed for Biodiesel, It is ready to run on biodiesel The car was just fully serviced, it cost me almost $2000 to have all this work done and now the turbo just failed. I ordered a full rebuild kit for the turbo, it will go with the car, you just have to install it, I do not have the time or money to spend on this car, it will be a fantastic little car that get almost 50 mpg for someone. The car needs very little to be perfect. I only know of three things wrong with is car 1st Is the turbo, 2nd The muffler is coming apart but it still works, the car is not loud at all. I have a video of it running below, 3rd There are 2 small rust spots on the bottom of the car that need to be fixed, other than these things it is a great car. The rest of it is good, Tires are 50% or better, everything works on the car power mirrors, PDL, trunk release, doors, A/C, All the lights and blinkers work.
