Here is a very nice 1965 Buick Riviera in very nice shape inside and out. This car is a life long California car which was bought new in 1965 in Los Angeles. The original warrantee booklet shows it was purchased by Holiday Motors Car Leasing Company. It spent its first 20 years or so in Los Angeles before being taken to the Seattle area for about 15 years. It then came back to California where it has remained until I purchased it. This Rivs previous owner spent 10s of thousands of dollars transforming it into the gorgeous custom you see before you. A gorgeous show quality paint job, high dollar air ride suspension, and the high dollar original style interior were put on the car. The exterior on the car is in very good condition and is solid as a rock and totally straight. The car painted PPG Colorado Red and looks absolutely stunning. No expense was spared on the paint job on this car. The paint job is gorgeous and really compliments the black interior. The paint is free of any chips or scratches and shows extremely well. Over $10,000 was spent on paint and body on this car with receipts to prove it! Most of the chrome and trim is all original and in very good condition, and the front and rear bumpers were re-chromed and look like new! All glass is crack and chip free, and all of the rubber seals were replaced when the car was repainted. The candy flake top really sets the car off and gets a ton of compliments at car shows. Some potential buyers may not be a fan of the top so I am giving the option of a vinyl wrap covering over the roof in a color of your choice, if so desired. I personally think a gloss or matte black would look really cool. The vinyl interior has been completely redone using original style seat kits and looks great! The seats are in excellent shape with no rips or ware at all. The carpet, door panels, dash, and headliner are all in great shape and look excellent. The wood inlays in the car were also redone and look great. The switches and gauges for the air ride have been cleverly hidden out of sight to keep a clean original look. I would be proud to take it and show it at any local car show or Buick meet. Dash is very nice with no cracks. All of the interior chrome and window trim are very nice with no pitting or rust. All of the gauges, turn signals work correctly. The steering wheel is also still in very good condition with only a few cracks. The power seats work as they should as well as all four power windows. The car also still retains its really cool black rubber Buick floor mats! Mechanically, this Riviera runs great. The Nailhead motor runs great and is all correct and numbers matching. The Wildcat 455 pairs the high compression 401ci motor with a 4 Barrel carb to put out around 325hp. The motor runs very good and the trans shifts flawlessly. I have receipts totaling almost $2500 showing the motor completely overhauled, bored .30 over, heads rebuilt and everything balanced and refurbished. This rebuild was done in the early 90's but not very many miles have been put on the car since. The car has always been well maintained and has a whole folder full of receipts going back to the early 90's. Oil changes, belts, hoses, tune-ups, and brakes were all done religiously. The engine compartment was also just fully detailed to show quality standards. The correct decals are all in place, and correct Buick Green paint was used, as well as the exhaust manifolds removed, painted, and re-installed with new gaskets. It was also fully tuned up with new plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and electronic points eliminator unit. The car has an aftermarket dual exhaust system and has a nice rumble. The signature Clam Shell hideaway headlamps are unique to 1965 only and really give the car a custom look straight from the factory. The expensive and hard to find headlight motor was just replaced with a fully refurbished unit. The car is a factory Air Conditioning car which has a new compressor and all equipment still in place on the firewall, but will need a condenser and A/C lines located and installed to get the system back in operation. The suspension system is all high end Air Ride Technologies equipment and cost the previous owner nearly $7500 installed. At the time of installation the entire front end was also overhauled with new rubbers and ball joints throughout. It uses the patented Shockwave bags up front which put a shock in the middle of the bag to reduce bouncing and give a smoother ride. It also uses a digital control box with a switch for each wheel, allowing the bags to be perfectly adjusted. The trunk houses the 5 gallon tank and compressor as well as all of the valves and solenoids. The car is riding on classic Buick 15" rally wheels. It has vintage looking Coker Dimension IV white wall radials which are like new. They look really good on this car and fit with no rubbing and the car can be driven slowly with the bags fully deflated. The trunk compartment is very clean and was just professionally carpeted and insulated and looks awesome. All air ride equipment is nicely mounted under the package tray. There is no spare or jacking equipment. Maybe the greatest selling point of this car is the extensive paperwork collection which comes with this car. It comes with the original owners manual, a 1965 Buick warrantee book, and even an original 1965 Buick Accessories booklet. The car also has every service receipt as far back as 1987, and all registrations and insurance cards since the early 80's. The car also comes with several sets of keys and all of the paperwork pertaining to the Air Ride system.
