Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking at our 1974 Dodge Charger. I purchased this car thorough a young lady who purchased it from her girlfriend, who's parents were the original owners. They passed away 3 years ago, and the lady I bought it from parked it in the garage to save it for her daughter. Her daughter says the car was too big for her to drive. She's only 15, so I bought it from this lady to resell it. This car has only been driven approximately 100 miles over the last 3 years. It runs phenomenal. Brakes are to the top, it steers perfect, and everything works. The heat and air conditioning control cable has a bolt off, holding it on the valve that controls the heating and air conditioning. I don't want to fix it because I might make it too tight and crimp the cable. I am not a mechanic, so let a mechanic or a knowledgeable person fix it once properly. It also has one blown out headlight. When I got this car, the paint, interior, fenders and doors were 100 percent original. The people who owned this car only drove it in nice weather for 35 years. The condition, for its age being nearly a 40 year old car phenomenal. This is an all original car, not restored, not reworked mechanically in any way. You are purchasing a car that is not a whole lot different than it was in 1974. This car was stored for 37 years in a garage with a car cover (that comes with the car). The dash is perfect. The trunk is unbelievable. The motor is very clean. The interior looks brand-new, and it's all original. After I had the car buffed out, there were some bubbles on the very bottom of the rockers. I had them removed and painted, which is 4 to 6 inches on the bottom of the car only. It looks good, but the new owner can keep it the way it is, or bring it to show quality. There is no Bondo on this car. The body man grounded down the bad spots, primed, and painted. The rest of the underneath of the car was rustproofed when it was new and still looks great. The car has some nicks on it and around it that could be touched up by you, not me, because I'm selling an original car, and I'm doing everything I can to leave the original paint original. I took this car to a body shop that repairs all cars, and his hobby is restoring Chryslers and Dodges. He checked out the car from bumper to bumper and said: "You have an original car, matching numbers, and it is very nice."So here's the deal: I have this car advertised locally so I have the right to sell it before this auction is over, but I am running a no reserve auction. The highest bidder gets it. I know the value of the car, so I don't think I'm going to get beat up too bad. Please don't e-mail me and please don't text me, just pick up the phone and call me the old-fashioned way at 216-598-7011. We're a dealer, Affordable Used Cars, in Cleveland, OH. This is a 7-day auction. If you'd like to see the car, drive the car, or bring it to your mechanic I'd have no problem doing it. I need this car paid for within 3 days of the auction ending. Please only bid if you are a real person intending to complete the deal.I will assist you in shipping the car, but I will not pay for any of the shipping. If you need a 30-day tag it is $20, and the dock fee is $50.Thank again for looking, and good luck bidding!
