Up for a no-reserve bid is a 1966 Karmann Ghia that I bought 12 years ago. I replaced the engine many years ago and it has about 12,000 miles on it. The car runs very well and shows very good too. There isn't much rust on it except for a little bit around the windows and small amounts here and there. This has been a Southern California car its whole life. Any parts its received has been from the dealer and not a junkyard. The clutch is fairly new and shifts well. All the glass is complete. Windows roll up and down. the car looks black in the pictures but it's actually a dark green. The rims are awesome and cost $800 alone plus the tires are new. It's currently registered til April 2012!! No smog necessary if a car is made before 1975. I just cruised the freeway in it and it's a fun drive. The steering is super tight. Probably the only bad things about it: The brake pedal sticks sometimes, the speedo is out and I still have it. I bought one that isn't from a Ghia but I haven't put it in. I'll leave that to the buyer to decide. It's very easy to install. The seats were re-upholstered in Tijuana last year. The headliner is new.
