The Ford jeeps on Willys frames are among the rarest of the WWII jeeps with a very low production number. What you are bidding on is project script gpw with a four digit serial number with its original data tags that match the vin stamped on the frame. These are very hard to find. The jeep is very complete except for the top bows and accessories and gauges. The interior was painted black by the previous owner but the green paint which I believe is the original paint can be seen where the black paint is coming off. The frame is in excellent condition with the exception of the extra welding that was on the front bumper gussets (comes with new gussets ). I was able to remove the excess welding without damaging the frame. The engine compartment is pretty complete. Front floor has patch work done by previous owner. Rear floor looks pretty good. My body man looked at the jeep and recommended patching the axe and shovel area (panels included in auction). The jeep does have the original and correct windshield with no gun rack brackets and it also has the correct brass clamps. As for the drive train It has a gpw motor (nom ), the correct transfer case and tranny (passenger side drain hole). Too many projects so this one must go. What you see is what you get with the exception of the seat covers that have been removed. Good luck and happy bidding.
