1967 mercury cougar, fresh restoration, 289, auto, disc brakes My oldest son and I were going to restore this car togeather but part way in he went into the Army. I finshed the restoration and the title is in my name. This car has new paint the original color, no rust at all on this California car, the door jams, under the hood and trunk look as good as the outside. The window stainles trim, hood trim and trunk trim have been profesionally polished, rear bumper is rechromed and front and rear guards are rechromed show quality. The front bumper is original and looks very good. Most of the seals have been replace like the windows and doors, rubber bumpers and trim pieces. The apostery is all new, headliner, seats front and rear, new dash board including rechroming the instrument cluster. New package tray, the door panels are original and have been redyed. Door handles have been replaced, sill plates and kickers.. This car was taken apart and detailed , so there is no overspray or unpainted areas The engine was detailed but not rebuilt as the previous owner rebuilt it. milage is unknown but it runs strong and sound good. Has small tube headers and a holley carburator, other than that it is bone stock. Brakes are manual granada disc up front and drum in rear. New tires on vintage western wheel rims, Steering is manual convertion, suspention work done was upper balljoints, strut rod bushings, spring saddles, swaybar link kits, everything else was in good shape. New gas shocks all the way around. The trunk is fully detailed and has a factory matt The sequntial turn signals work, the headlight doors open but don't shut. All the parts are there and look all original, I have not had the time to check it out. This is a list of thing you would need to do to make it 100 % Missing the left front fender emblum but they are available new I have the quarter panel emblums but did not want them on. The passenger door glass needs to be adjusted as I get alittle wind noise around the new seal I have a new trunk seal but have not installed it . It needs a new cowl seal as water will drip past The temperature guage is acting up. It goes up to 3/4 and then goes down to 1/4 - 1/2. I replaced the thermostate and the sending unit but it still does it. Someone said it my be getting air in the system? It does not overheat and I don't have the time for it right now. I have two other car I need to fix or sell as we may be moving soon. The reserve price is more than fair for the work that has gone into this car. I will never get all the labor I've put into it. I have many but not all the reciepts for the restoration and some before pictures showing the car has never been crashed and is rust free. A 500.00 nonrefundable deposit is required within two day of close of auction paypal is fine for the deposit and final payment or p a y person. Car is to be picked up and payed for within two weeks of auction end I have a friend who tows cars within the 48 states on a single open car trailer. I can get a price if you need it. This is a very clean original car , turns heads all the time.
