Vehicle Detail

Available here is not your typical grocery-hauling station wagon. True, this is a Caprice, the upscale version of the Chevy Impala, but this beauty has the desirable 396 engine... known for its reliability & power. She has an eye-catching Regal Red exterior, with a matching red interior that looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor. Everything on this beauty is Original and Stock... Opening my garage door is like opening a portal to the past, since both the interior and exterior are in such incredible shape. The only part of this car that needs attention is the trim around the simulated wood paneling (no, it's not real wood). There are some door dings & a small chip of paint missing from the hood. Also, there are a few scratches on the dash around the ignition, but I think these minor blemishes are a testament that this beautiful car is as original as she gets. This amazing link to the past has been owned by my Father since new, but since his passing, I have to downsize, since I just don't have room for this fantastic car. He kept this wagon garaged, as you can see in the car's fantastic condition, and for the past 30 years, the car was never driven in the rain. The interior is immaculate, and the only sign of wear is the carpet. I wanted to leave this beauty in her present condition (she hasn't been driven in three years, since my Dad's passing), and you can see for yourself that the engine compartment is clean, nothing is hidden under a restoration. Since she was a little dusty from sitting, I did drive her to my house to rinse off this beauty. There is a short video you can view to see the reliability of this amazing car, and how she starts with a quick turn of the key. Go to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd8q0KBFWHk Even though I would be comfortable driving this car anywhere in the lower 48 if I were the buyer, I will deliver the car to any car transporter of your choice within 15 miles of Seattle, WA. Buyer is responsible for coordinating and paying for shipping, my involvement is limited to delivering the vehicle to a transport company. Thank you for looking at this fantastic high-powered Station wagon. On Mar-13-11 at 20:06:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Available here is not your typical grocery-hauling station wagon. Buyer is responsible for coordinating and paying for shipping, my involvement is limited to delivering the vehicle to a transport company. Thank you for looking at this fantastic high-powered Station wagon. I've had some questions for this awesome car, and I want everyone to know as much as possible about this beauty ... The paint is all original, and you won't find any Bondo in this amazing car, unless it was applied at the Chevrolet factory. I haven't removed the wheels, but my Dad replaced brake shoes at 50%, changed the oil & filters every 3,000 miles, and tuned the car every 10,000 miles (I've done more oil changes than Jiffy Lube). He was a truck driver who maintained his cars as well as he maintained the equipment he drove. The tires are excellent and I'll take pictures of the remaining tread tomorrow. Until 2010, Seattle did NOT salt the roads in winter, and the undercarriage & frame would be in pristine shape by that measure alone, however, this car was undercoated, and you can see a picture of that on the link below (the bottom side of the hood is undercoated too). I've added some pictures of the door dings, and I tried to get some pictures of the amazing condition of the chrome, but all I got was glare. You can, however, get a good view of the chrome-plating on the instrunment panel through the picture from the passenger side door. This beautiful car does not have air conditioning.
