TRUCK BACKGROUND The truck title has a rebuilt stamp/brand. The dealer that I bought it from purchased the truck from the Insurance company as a total loss. The truck was parked in a building (Barn) that caught fire and damaged the exterior of the truck requiring complete new factory paint, bumper covers, lights etc… Nothing mechanical was affected. I purchased the truck from the dealer after the above work was completed with 24,000 miles on it and have never had a problem. It has been my everyday driver since. The pricing on the Edmunds data sheet reflects the title stamp. This truck with a normal title would sell (according to Edmunds) at a private party sale for between $17-21K. The instrument panel cluster does not work at present. This was a recall from Chevrolet several years ago. At the time they wanted $3-400.00 to fix at the dealer so I did not do it. Now on E-bay you can send the cluster in and they will fix it and send it back good as new for approximately $45.00 plus S&H. Truck belt (was replaced 3 years ago) but makes a squeal noise in the a.m. after a real humid night. Stops after 2 minutes and warm up. The brakes were also done 2 ½ years ago but recently a squeal has developed. The dealer said it will happen when the brakes are real dusty. Hood has scratch that has been there since I owned the truck. I will try to get a good photo if requested. Back tires are like new, fronts need replaced (only because I did not have them rotated) like I should have. I have tried to the best of my ability to describe any and all deficiencies.
