Offered here, for auction, is a 1982 Mercedes Benz 380SL, finished in Gray with a supple light gray interior. This SL is equipped with both tops. The black canvas top is in good overall condition with a clear backlite. The hard top is also in great condion with all rubber seals and headliner in good shape. The paint finish is very good and the body is straight with excellent panel fit and closing gaps. The sound system has been upgraded with a SonyCDX-GT420IP, AM/FM/CD head with USB port in glovebox. The original radio will be included as well. The engine runs well with no smoke or significant oil leaks. The transmission operates correctly with no leaks. The exhaust system is sound. The timing belt has been replaced less than 5,000 miles ago. New tires and wheels have just been newly powdercoated. There are small corrosion areas behind the front wheels, and a small crease on top of one of the bumpers. Overall the body is in good shape. This SL looks, runs, drives and stops well. All the glass in the car is good as are the window lift mechanisms. All electrics function well and the A/C blows cold. The odometer currently shows 86,210 miles. The car has been garage kept and at least for the last 10 years has not been winter driven.
