1976 Honda CB

I have a very nice all original 1976 Honda CB550F Super Sport. The color is Flake Sapphire Blue. Purchased from the original owner. Low miles. I have the original California pink slip (title) where the bike was sold new on July 6, 1977. The bike still has the original California blue/gold license plate. According to the California DMV, the bike was non-op'ed in 2004. Total fees due are $71.00 (if the bike stays in CA) and the new owner can retain the vintage license plate. The original paint is gorgeous. Tank is near perfect, only one tiny rock chip on the entire tank (see photo). One hairline scratch that would not show up in the pictures. Absolutely no dents, no dings, no scuffs. There is a crack on the right side cover (see photo), otherwise the paint and tabs are perfect. The left side cover has perfect paint and tabs, but the decal is missing - I have an NOS decal from Honda (see photo). The bike runs excellent - no issues with the engine and the performance. Starts instantly and idles smooth. Tires are in average condition and probably should be replaced. Gas tank is shiny silver and clean inside. The original brown vinyl seat is perfect - no rips, no tears, and no splits. Horn works, brake light works from operating the rear pedal and front brake handle. Front running lights work, but front turn signal lights do not flash (neither do the rears). I will check the flasher relay before the end of the auction. Hi/Lo on headlight works fine. The bike seems to be totally original, except for the grips. The handlebars may be aftermarket, I'm not sure. The original genuine Honda HMCB550F HM390 4-into-1 exhaust system is really really nice. NO RUST, no dings, and no scratches. (several pictures included) The system is rust free from header to tip of muffler which is amazing. Underside is very clean! Header itself has some minor blueing. Overall a really nice bike. Its very hard to find such beautiful original paint, seat and exhaust on these machines. The spokes are corroded, hubs need polishing, and the front brake caliper has evidence of weeping in the past. Some nuts/bolts have surface rust. Other light corrosion hear/there, but overall... as the pictures show... a nice original bike. Owner's manual included (see photo).
