SuperVan is a 2002 Ford E350 extended, 4x4 camper van, with the coveted 7.3 international diesel. Before the restoration and 4x4 conversion, I purchased the van from the original owner in Texas. The van was a one owner, special ordered, rust free, wreck free, cargo van, used for his copy machine business. Van had 125,000 miles on her then and only 8,000 miles since conversion/restoration. I wanted the ability to work out of the van, take the family camping and go on extended surf exploration trips. To maintain 100% structural integrity, no body metal was cut out. (many high dollar conversion companies cut Ford structural support for roof top beds, large side windows, floor access, etc.). Basically the van went through a complete on frame restoration consisting of stripping, blasting and painting the undercarriage. I replaced any part, nut or bolt, that was not 100%. I used my past experience rigging yachts and 22 years in the electronics business to build out the electrical and electronic systems. I used stainless and marine wiring and equipment where applicable.
