Vehicle Detail

In short, this is a "SWEETHEART" of a truck, period. Last year I attended an out of state auction of an elderly car collector and bought way too much stuff! I had been looking at this truck during the sale and thought how perfect a unit for a car collector or race car enthusiast, but I needed another vehicle as much as another "hole in the head"!!! Well....I raised my hand and held my breath until the auctioneer yelled sold, and it has been one of the best bargains I have ever made! I put it to work immediately and it has never let me down. It can sit a month and start right up with barely a puff of smoke and clears out immediately settling down to a powerful purring. The non-turbo diesel has plenty of power and with the highway gears and 5 speed overdrive handles and rides like a Cadillac. The seat is real leather and it is very quiet inside and has a nice stereo. U-Haul must have put a lot of thought into designing these rigs. It has an electric start onboard air compressor with hose reel, locking tool boxes (very clean), 2 stowaway aluminum ramps to allow winching a vehicle from the ground or from a trailer onto the truck, 2 fold down attached ramps, and an electric winch front mounted on the rack. All work as they should. All clearance lights work, and it has a receiver hitch and wired for trailer towing. The truck has 2 fuel tanks, and the only fault I have found is that sometimes the fuel gage does not work in the dash, although the tanks switch as they should when switched over. The tires are top of the line excellent radials with matched traction tread in the rear and I believe they are oversize from original. The paint has a few small scratches and it has a very small dent just behind the drivers door, but is really not noticable. I have not noticed any rust or rustout anywhere. The dual batteries are heavy duty "Interstate", and the clutch, transmission and rearend are smooth and quiet. Note: I can not remember if it is a F-350 or F-450, but will be bringing it home from storage in Seattle to Portland this weekend and will post the correct designation. I realize that times are tough and I have decided to let it go with no reserve and just a low starting price that is not coming close to my original investment, but I just have no further use for it since I have been selling off my collection. Hopefully it will sell to someone who can use and enjoy it and give it the care it has been accustomed to in th past. IT HAS BEEN VERY WELL MAINTAINED SINCE NEW! Thanks for looking. Please be serious if bidding, as at my age I have no time for spammers or "wannabees". It can be stored for a month or so if paid in full.
