This is a 1948 Deluxe Eight Touring Sedan. It is unrestored but licensed and drivable. It has a 3 speed manual with a working overdrive, and can easily cruise at highway speeds. This particular model has a few extra options such as a search light, front windshield visor, turn signal, reverse tail light, and oil filter. The green light for the push button counsel still works, as well as the red instrument panel lights. The seats need work, and the cane seat cover on the rear seat has seen better days. The body is in pretty good shape. The gas tank is not original but it is solid and has a drain. There are three major rust holes, one tennis ball size hole in the passenger compartment by the drivers side door, and two golf ball size holes behind each rear wheel. Both rocker panels need replacing and a few of the door windows are cracked, but all roll up and down. The motor is a 288 cubic inch straight "L" head motor. As far as I know it has never been rebuilt, but it is sound, idles and revs well. The system is still 6 volt and the battery is less than a year old. The two chrome pieces that are missing on the passenger side of the car are in the trunk. As with all unrestored cars in needs some attention, but all in all a solid vehicle. Extra items included in sale are a complete set of mechanics manuals, 2 snow tires with rims, front and rear bumper "add-ons", oil bath air filter, front radiator cowl and spare tire. I also have several items that could be rebuilt, a generator, fuel pump and water pump. I have thoroughly enjoyed this car, but now I am selling it because I want a truck.
