For sale is a box truck that may be old but still runs. Our church used it for many years to haul a variety of equipment, furniture, building supplies, and more. We no longer have use for it, and the truck needs a new home. It is being sold AS-IS with no expressed or implied warranties of any kind. The truck passed its annual state inspection in April 2010, and its registration will expire at the end of February 2011. The engine starts with a little encouragement and requires some warmup before driving. While the odometer currently reads 16,526, we do not know whether it has turned over one or more times. Known mechanical issues include a broken driver's window handle and gas gauge. While the truck has dual tanks, we only used one, and according to our mechanic the float assembly needs to be replaced in order to make the gauge work. We chose not to spend any money to repair it. The box's gate is a garage door type and opens fully without problem. The opening is 7'4" wide X 6'6" high and the box is 11'10" deep.The flooring is adquate for hauling but could use replacement. There used to be a ramp, but it went missing long ago. If you live in the area, then you are quite welcome to inspect the truck and test drive it on our parking lot if you have a valid driver's license. The winner of the auction will be expected to make a down payment upon the close of the auction. While we prefer cash for the balance, we will accept other forms of payment. Checks, cashier's checks, and other paper funds must clear the bank before the vehicle will be released. The sale will be final, and we will not accept a return. License plates will be retained by the church, so you will need to register the truck or provide temporary plates in order to be able to drive it legally on public streets.
