Hello all, Up for auction is a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege with only 101,xxx miles. Here is a little background on the car and where its at.. My father purchased the car a few months ago for $2000 with a blown motor. He then bought a used motor off of ebay for $2100(have proof of purchase). He was in the process of swapping the motors( has the original motor pulled) when he ran into medical problems and had to have foot surgery and then stints put in. Needless to say he is unable to work on the car so i traded him my audi a6 quattro for it. I have tried to study it and figure out what needs to be done, but i really have no clue what im doing so its probably better that i sell it the way that it is instead of messing everything up. The body of the car is in descent shap for being 8 years old.. Its a really pretty blue and when the sun hits it you can really see the pearls come out in it. It does however have some smaller dents and dings in it that can be expected with the age of the car. The most noticeable dameage is on the pass. side qtr panel and is showed in the picture below. All in all when you stand back and look at the car it does look very good. The original motor had threw a rod and actually knocked holes in the block so the bottom end a block is pretty much junk. He has'nt pulled the head off so we are not sure on the condition of it. The new motor has 81,000 mi on it and includes everything less the manifold, turbo, wiring harness,accessories such as alternator, ac pump, power steering etc, and oil pan. All of this is still on the original motor so everything should be there to put the car back together. The car is sitting on a set 17" racingharts. There is a donut on the car right now because the tire is messed up, which all of the tires probably do need replaced as they are worn pretty far down.. The interior is in great shape for the year. The only issue with it is that there are some small ciggarette burns in the seats and door panels. They arent horrible or look real bad, but enough that i feel that i should mention it in the description. It looks as if someone just brushed it with the cherry..
