This is a 1986 Mercedes Benz 300sdl long wheel base sedan, black with black leather interior. It runs, drives, and performs excellently despite its many years. Overall, I would give the car a 7.5 out of 10. The important parts (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes) are all in excellent condition. Of course, being that it is 25 years old there is some wear and tear:Some items worth mentioning:- The sunroof doesn't work (motor does, but the cables/linkages have gone wrong), doesn't leak.- There is a split in the front passenger's seat- The air conditioning has a new compressor but the air is stuck coming out of all vents, so it doesn't recirculate.- The radio antenna goes only 3/4 of the way up- The passenger's vanity mirror is broken, but the shade still works fine- The paint was redone a few years ago and looks great from 10 feet away, but when you get closer you can see some imperfections.- There is some surface rust along the bottom of the doors and at some of the joints- One of the former owners replaced the stock muffler with a Flowmaster so it is slightly louder than expected- The front passenger's window's power connection has come undone. I will be looking into this and post if fixed. - There is a small oil leak in the pan where a sensor is connected, good for about two-three drops per day. - On cold mornings when it hasn't been run in a couple of days the tailpipe will emit about 20 seconds of oil smoke (not bad, but enough to be seen)- The central locking system is missing its vacuum pump Now, the good parts:- 30+ mpg!!!- The tires have about 8k on them and are less than a year old- Due to road chipping, the windshield was replaced a few months ago by Safelite- The a/c compressor is new and blows cold air- The cruise control and all other electronics work!- The accessory belt and pulley are new- All of the maintenance has been regularly performed- Clear title Here are some of the features:150hp Turbo Diesel Inline Six Cylinder4 Speed Automatic TransmissionFog LightsHeadlight wipers/washersIntermittent Windshield Wipers10-Way Power Memory Seats (Both Front)Power Telescoping Steering WheelCruise ControlAutomatic Climate ControlRear DefrosterPower Windows24 Gallon Diesel Fuel Tank4 Wheel Anti-Lock Disc Brakes This is an excellent and enjoyable car to drive anywhere, and given proper maintenance could easily see half a million miles.
