Vehicle Detail
You are looking at an extremely clean and extremely original 1971 Cheyenne 10 pickup. This is a Northwest truck that has always been stored inside and had exceptional care. Lets start with the basics; Completely rust free body with all original body panels. Never any rust ever! The truck has had 1 repaint many years ago that still shows very nice but is not “show quality”. It shines up easily and looks great but if you look closely you can tell it’s been repainted. There is a little “flaking” around the edges. All of the bright trim is original and in very good condition. All the glass is excellent as are the bumpers, window moldings, grille, grille surround, tailgate insert, and all lenses. Inside is original with the exception of a mid 80’s cassette player and a recent factory original seat cover. It is extremely rare to find a 68-72 pickup that is this nice, original, clean, and unmolested. The front bumper has been replaced with a 1972 unit. (Previous owner liked the looks better?) I have had several of these and this is the nicest by far without being restored. Now for the fun stuff. Under the hood lurks a new 410 horse 383 stroker motor with 4,000 miles on it and the remainder of a 7 year / 70k warranty that comes with all of the documentation! It was installed with a new HEI distributor, Weiand aluminum intake, new Hedman ceramic coated headers, Carter performance carb, new alternator, water pump, power steering pump, new starter, all belts and hoses, etc… This truck runs as good as it looks! The motor is connected to the original T-350 transmission that has been updated with a Transgo “Tow-n-go” shift kit. The transfer case is the original NP205 and is in great shape. The exhaust on this 410 horse motor exits through new 3” mandrel bent tubing and a pair of Flowmaster super 40”s with 2 ½” tailpipes. The front end has recently been completely rebuilt with new upper / lower ball joints, tie rod ends, drop pitman arm, steering gear, and idler arm. The 4” Rough Country lift has also been installed with all new spring bushings and shocks on all four corners. The drive lines have been rebuilt with new u-joints and slip yokes. This beauty rolls on all new wheel bearings and its original 15 x 8 rally wheels with brand new Goodyear Wrangler 33x12.50x15 quiet all terrain tires. Everything on this truck works without exception! All lights work great, gauges are accurate, turn signals cancel, back up lights work, even the shift indictor light on the shift prindle works! You will not find a nicer, cleaner, more original 40 year old truck for this kind of money anywhere. The new owner will receive all documentation with the truck. I have the previous owner’s receipts from 1993 to now and they document the parts and repairs. Here is the vin decode; K = 4 Wheel drive E = V-8 1 = 1/2 Ton 4 = Pickup with cab and bed 1 = Model year Z = Fremont plant Last 6 are production run number Serious bidders please feel free to call 1-(208)-746-7040 or e-mail cookscarco@gmail.com with any questions you may have.
