This is a real 1971 Challenger R/T 340 car with 2 fender tags and a build sheet. This is a early production car built on 9/30/70 so it has a orange engine and point ignition. The car is wearing most of its original paint other than what mother nature has removed. The top was removed years ago to keep it from trapping moisture. The car has the #s engine and transmission. The car has its original 3.55 sure grip high performance axle with a rear sway bar heavy duty suspension and the correct three core 26" radiator. The factory color combo is FC7 Plum Crazy Purple with white top, interior and stripes. Plus a factory rear spoiler. All the body numbers are correct as well as the built sheet that matches. (see photos) Now for the sad part, the car is rusty and not a project for the faint at heart. It will need a lot of metal work, all floors quarters, fenders, extensions and a rear chunk of the driver frame rail is bad. Don't get me wrong the car is doable and with all the body parts AMD is making it wont be hard to get the parts. There is even a company called Dynacorn that is selling a brand new complete 70-71 Challenger body that is all built and ready for paint for 18K. The car does not run or drive but it rolls and steers so it will be easy to load. I will store the car for as long as needed so the buyer has plenty of time to make shipping arrangements or come and get it your self. I will answer a few bulk questions here. 1 The cowell is good. 2 The glass is very nice and all the windows roll up and down nice. 3 The rims are a plain set of 15" steel wheels and yes the tires are ok and all hold air. 4 The stainless vinal roof trim is nice. 5 The top door and quarter stainless is perfect. 6 The grill and tail lights are very nice. 7 the head light bezels are not so nice and it needs all new tail panel trim. 8 Once again good luck and BID TO WIN.On Feb-19-11 at 21:42:33 PST, seller added the following information: The car will come with a clear title.
