This is a 1988 Chevy S-10 4 wheel drive extended Pickup truck I have owned for 13 years . It has the 2.8 liter V-6 Engine, Automatic transmission, and 15inch tires. The engine has 142916 miles. Does not burn oil. It has a 3” lift kit. Automatic transmission in excellent condition. 4 wheel drive works Tires are winter grabbers. 2 are in excellent condition 1 is very good condition and 1 is good condition. Tires will pass inspection. Air condioning unit does not work. I never charged it. The box is in very good condition for its age. Newer tailgate installed. Has the soft tonneau cover for the box. Little rust developing above one wheel well. (known for that). Not the original box, but off another 1988 S-10. Over the years have put on new fenders and doors.. Hood has a crease in it from an overhead door. Whats needs to be repaired to pass inspection is as follows: My mechanic and Body men have told me it’s time for a New Frame. Have done much work to the frame. Holes in frame located by engine mounts. (could not get a good picture). Needs a cross member under back of cab. Needs a shock mount. Also two body mounts. Probably a new floor under drivers side. Also fuel tank and lines. The truck has been driven to work up till a week ago when the fuel tank developed a leak under one of the straps. The Air Conditioner does not work. Needs to be checked and charged. When you first start the truck the windshield wipers make one pass across windshield while the selector is off. I installed a switch to cut the power to the wipers so they don’t move on a dry surface. Also the high speed has a switch on it. I don’t think the high works. The truck has served me well, Still be driven back and forth to work. Inspection is up the end of Feb. 2011. I think it would make a great project truck. It still looks good, just need some tlc.
