This is a 1989 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER for sale by owner4X4 Has almost NEVER been used on this FJ62, the transfer case is brand new inside and out, it had new oil when we flushed and refilled with NEW CASTROL 80-90 as specified by factory needs. Now for the good parts about this amazing FJ62I bought it from an older man who used it to drive to Hollywood and back to Glendale, he works as a Movie's Websites producer! The rig passed California Strict Emission Test! The guy from the Smog check told me this truck has surprised him with the numbers! I passed it couple days ago, and the SMOG is good until 05/10ish/2011 A Japanese Transmission Master Rebuild Kit has been bought and all of the gaskets inside the transmission, clutches, and even steel plates all have been replaced and are brand new since 02-07-2011. Even the valve body has been cleaned out, every hole has been degreased and put back together by the book ALL! ALL of the FJ62s transmissions begin to slip from 170,000-220,000 miles.Mine is COMPLETELY rebuilt with new clutches and plates and gaskets, so its good for ANOTHER 170,000-200,000 Miles! Its fresh and ready to drive where ever you'd like to go! The torque converter has been flushed too, and everything has new oils all around. Magnaflow Exhaust. Strong truck! I have spoken to Land Cruiser Professionals from Specter Off Road and they said that the FJ62 is the rarest Land Cruiser that came to America! And that they've never seen one with a sun roof! The only model that came out with a sun roof was in Japan, so I am assuming that this was an import or some sort of special order for some one in California. Power Steering, Power Windows, and Power Mirrors, this truck comes with the larger mirrors than other FJ62s. Super responsive truck, you hit gas it goes right off, there is no delay like in other cars. Brakes are strong! The Transmission shifts butter smooth, the engine runs like it should, no weird noises, very reliable. I've driven this FJ62 to Westlake Village and back to Burbank several times, no problems. It is really tall too, about 6'2 Tall so on the freeway its lots of fun and easy to drive, the wind does not shake this rig at all, real strong on freeways and streets. Now the things that time took its toll on.There are several minor scratches here and there on the paint.The rear Carpet has a little stain on it, and the driver's seat has a small rip.The Driver's window does not go up and down, but the motor seems to make noise inside. While this truck sells, I will try to get the window fixed, and try to reupholster with the factory color driver seat's side (I took a photo of everything)-------------------------------------------- You will not find an FJ62 with a power Sun-Roof. And one with the transmission rebuilt and drives this good. At SOR they told me they had a customer bring them an FJ62 with 600,000 Miles and the compression in his original engine was still good! You can drive this off road, on snow, on ice, on mud, dirt, grass you name it, you will get surprised where this FJ62 can go! We got it taken out, oiled all of the moving components with heavy duty gear oil, and the engine is working great, and now the window goes up and down amazing! Also have taken out cleaned K&N Air Filter, with the K&N Air Filter Cleaner Kit, and Oiled it With the K&N Air Filter Oil. Also I am going to order tomorrow the OEM Oxygen sensor, so that will be new tomorrow morning, I read it has to be replaced every 100,000 miles.
