Vehicle Detail
I’m selling this truck for a friend of mine. Please Read before Bidding. Truck is sold as is where is. You are bidding on a used truck. No warranty implied or issued. Buyer (you) are responsible for handling all transportation of truck. Truck is sold only within the USA! No Third Parties! Do not bid if you cannot accept these terms. Tried to describe the truck as the best that I can and there could be things that I overlooked. Please send questions. If you want a certain picture of something please ask. Please bid with confidence. All Bid/Sale is final. It’s a 1969 Chevy C10. Clear Indiana Title. Mileage is exempt on Title. May be 125K or 225K or ? No Door Lock keys. I was told that sometimes a local lock smith can make you a set but you need to take the lock tumbler out. All of the body modifications and paint where done in the mid 1990’s engine work was done early 2000’s It has a V8 out of mid 70’s truck. Owner was told it’s a 4 bolt main but he can’t back that claim up. Owner was also told it's a 350ci V8. No way to back that up either. Is a 327 roughly the same size overall as a 350 ? Never had the oil pan off to check and never checked the engine vin code either. It’s supposed to have a mild cam. Again no documentation. Truck has a mid 70’s TH350 with a 2500 stall torque converter. Edelbrock 1405 (600cfm) carb, Edelbrock valve covers, Edelbrock RPM intake, Edelbrock air cleaner. Truck has Headers but don’t know the brand. Truck has a new Starter, Battery Truck has a 1994 Chevy fiberglass stepside bed. Tail gate is hard to open. Tail gate gap is closer on one side so I think it’s rubbing. Taillights were smoothed over and custom lights put in roll pan. Truck is Blue with purple ghost flames painted on hood. The hood is Fiberglass and intake cowl is open in the back. The inner and outer halves are starting to separate. Hood will need to be fixed or replaced. Bucket seats are out of ???? Interior is okay for the age. Carpet is faded. Drum Brakes front and back. Non power. They work just fine but require more pedal effort. For you younger kids-- If you never drove a vehicle with non assisted drum brakes then you will be disappointed. You could always do a disc swap. 20” Cragar SS Wheels. Chrome is pitting. 285/50/20 Goodyear Eagle GT’s in back and they are practically brand new. 275/45/20 Goodyear Eagle GT’s in front and they are practically brand new. The bad news: The passenger front fender is pushed back a little. Passenger door opens just fine. Radiator support looks bent when viewed from the side. Windshield cowl is bent a little. Windshield is cracked. Body work is showing it’s age. Cracking around the original opening for taillights. Small scratches, dings and paint chips here and there. Grill is gone. Fiberglass hood has drivers side mount pulling out so hood doesn’t shut very well. Hood also has the inner support coming undone up front where hood latch is. Rust in Cab corners. Rust in Rocker panels. Front valance panel is bent. Headlight bezels supports looked to have been tack welded?? Passenger side headlight has been replaced but the adjusting tab is missing so it will flop around. E brake is disconnected. No radio. No outside mirrors. Please see pictures. The Story: This truck was bought by the current owner in 1999 from a local specialty used car lot when he was a teenager. Owner bought it this way except for the wheels, tires, and engine. He doesn’t know anything prior about it. A friend of his replaced the motor at their local IVY Tech with the mid 70’s truck motor and trans. It was dirty. The Truck was then driven for 2 years and then sold to current owners mom’s boyfriend. The Boyfriend took the engine out, painted it, installed the Edelbrock stuff, supposed cam, 20” wheels and tires then drove it for a while. Boyfriend then let his son drive it until he hit a deer with it on the passenger side front. Hence the damage. It was then parked. This boyfriend then decided to move. Current owner decided to buy it back and then just drove it into his barn. It stayed there for 2.5 years inside covered collecting dust. Current owner decided he’s not going to do anything with it and wants to sell it. He had to put a new battery in, changed the oil and filter and fired it up. Did some brake work. Driven it maybe a hundred miles since. Been to a few local auctions where it didn’t bring the money he thought it should bring. It did get up to $2400 once but he turned it down. Thought he would give eBay a try now. Truck can be driven but I would strap the hood down just in case and to prevent more damage. Like I said the inner structure is coming undone from the outer hood on the front and the metal hood hinge supports are being ripped out. The Truck runs very well and sounds good, starts up with a few pumps of the gas pedal. Please see my You Tube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFJsm6bqu0A This would be a nice truck with some TLC. Truck is also up for sale locally here and I have the right to end this auction if it sells locally. This Truck can be seen in person and driven around the block. Please send all questions as early as possible so I can have enough time to get back with you. Thanks for looking! On Jan-31-11 at 05:40:48 PST, seller added the following information: Talking to the owner and seeing pictures we figured out why the headlight buckets have been welded. They were cut out and set back in farther because this truck was modified to use a full width chrome round bar grill. It covered the headlights. Also vehicle would need to be picked up within 2 weeks of auction ending or 3 weeks after if paying by check. If paying with a Bank Check or Money Order you can not take the vehicle home without waiting 7 business days to expire. No exceptions. Obvious cash is better! Like I said you will want to strap or remove the hood to prevent any more damage. If it's going to go on a car carrier we can strap it down for you. But we are not responsible for anything that happens and this includes the loss of hood or body damage.
