I'm selling my 1957 Chevy 2 Dr V8 that I purchased hoping to restore. I have realized I don't have the time to work on it. This is a perfect car for a restoration or make a rat rod as everything is there and has never been messed with. The car belonged to my friend's grandfather who bought it new in 1957 then passed it on to his father in 1969. It has always been in the family. 1971 was the last year it was registered to be on the road, it has been on a Texas farm ever since then. No body work has been done to this car, no Bondo anywhere, it's the original paint. Original color is sierra gold and white. The engine is a 283 with a 4 bbl carburator, 3 speed on the column. The only rust I found is on the trunk, trunk floor, small spot on the rocker panels. The front right fender has a dent as it appears it lost a tire at one time. The floor is in very good shape with just some surface rust, there is a small rust hole on the right rear floor. Some kids broke out the passenger side windows and windshield,the back glass is perfect. I put a battery in it and it turned over, but some of the wires are dry rotted or been chewed by the rats while it sat in a barn. Will need very little work to get it running.
