Vehicle Detail
Great running 1995 crew cab dually with 160k miles. 7.3L Powerstroke turbo diesel motor with a Garrett turbocharger. 5 speed manual transmission with granny gear. There's a 3" gooseneck ball mounted in the center of the bed, though I've never towed with this truck. There's also a 2" ball on the rear bumper. Electric trailer brake system. Truck has cruise control. All lights and signals work great. Interior is in good condition with some wear on the seats and dash. New front driver side seat belt. Power windows work great. The front passenger side door window and lock switches don't work (needs new switches), however both the window and lock can be controlled from the driver side master switches. The truck does smoke when first started, but the smoke goes away pretty quickly once you get driving down the road. Aftermarket Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD radio and Eclipse speakers work great. Front tires have about 20% tread left, and should be replaced but still pass Virginia state inspection. Rear tires have at least 90% tread left. Body is in good condition all the way around. There is some body damage to the driver side rear fender well. The paint is faded on both rear fender wells and on the hood. Diamond plate aluminum running boards run from wheel well to wheel well on both sides. Large rubber mud flaps installed behind both rear tires. Sliding rear window. Chrome is in great condition. A/C used to blow ice cold, but it stopped working about 2 months ago and I don't have the time or money to fix it, I believe that either the compressor and/or the clutch have failed. A mechanic has recommended that both upper and lower ball joints on the drivers side should be replaced at some point, but didn't need to be done immediately. Also, the transmissions throw out bearing is going bad, but it still works (sometimes hard to go into reverse). The drivers side of the front seat has power lumbar support, however, it has never worked since I've owned the truck (you can hear the motor run, but nothing happens, probably a stripped gear on the motor). Equipped with a block heater, but it has a short in it somewhere. Since I purchased the truck in 2005, I've had the turbocharger, water pump, valve cover gaskets, mechanical fuel pump, and injector harnesses (located inside the valve covers) replaced. I've also replaced one of the batteries and the serpentine belt. I've changed the oil every 3,000 miles. Both the air and fuel filters have been regularly changed and the fuel return port cleaned. Both rear door windows and the rear window have been tinted by a previous owner and it's peeling off of some sections of the rear sliding windows. I had a window cover installed on the outside of the rear window. This is a good, strong, and reliable work truck. I was told by the dealer that I bought it from (on ebay motors), that the previous owner used it to pull his horse trailer in Texas. Note: the amber lightbar and the toolbox that are currently pictured on the truck are NOT included in the sale and have been removed since the pictures were taken. The light bar was held on by 4 magnets, so removing it did not leave holes for water to enter. I reserve the right to end the auction early.
