Our 2001 Prius with 99,686 miles recently started showing motor-generator #2 stator winding failure symptoms. We'd like to sell it intact as a parts car as nearly everything else on it was fine until the last day we drove it (Jan.1). It has 5961 miles on 80,000-mile tires, main battery pack and engine still fully functional, brakes good all around, parking brake cable sticks, AC needs Freon, dents on the roof from over-tightening a roof rack, scratch on driver's door from tractor blade mishap, trunk key lock sticks but opens from inside, NO RUST. The interior is good but has some small stains on the back seat, glass is good all around. Originally purchased as a salvage vehicle in 2002. Inverter had bad continuity in 3 wires. Fixed that plus replaced steering rack and nothing needed but one wheel bearing since. If we had a Scangauge II we could clear the codes that I caused, while running the car with both front wheels jacked up to diagnose the trans-axle problem (traction control didn't like that!), and actually drive it.
