Strong motor and tranny. I’ve driven it back and forth between CA and FL a total of 5 times since July, plus all over FL (Miami to Jacksonville) and CA (San Fran to Los Angeles). I LOVE my van and love traveling in it. But alas, I am a casualty of the economy and have to sell it to pay some bills and get Christmas for the kiddos. I will buy another one as soon as I get back up on my feet again. Which will hopefully be soon. I bought this van in June 2010 with 131,000 miles on it. I have done some repairs to it; some it needed, some I just changed because I had no indication of when they were last changed or serviced so wanted to make sure they wouldn’t crap out on me. It gets about 14-16 mpg, which isn’t great, but isn’t horrible either. It costs me about $650-$750 in fuel to travel from Jacksonville, FL to Los Angeles, CA, but I go north through Dallas, TX, too, as I have friends/relatives there. This van is a comfortable ride and dependable. The driver’s seat is power adjustable. The second row captain’s chairs swivel a full 180 degrees so that they face the back of the van. The cargo room with all seats removed is 9’X5’X4’. Plenty of room for whatever you need to haul. I use a gray carpet that I got from an auto parts store to put down over the cream carpet for cargo hauling. That adds more padding and the gray carpet is removable and easily cleaned. Under the passenger seat is an antenna for tv hook up. It’s probably for analog, I never hooked it up and don’t know as much about electronics. Everything power works- power windows, power door locks, power seat, radio, cd player, cassette player, windshield wipers, lights, brake lights, lighter, power outlet, interior lights, hood light, power mirrors. I’ve installed several small hooks throughout the van for cargo hauling. I threaded rope through them or hooked bungie cords to them to keep cargo set and in place. I also used them to hang blankets, making different rooms/changing areas/ sleeping areas in the van. You could hang a cargo net up off the floor of the van or tool pouches or additional pockets for kiddos activities, snacks, etc. The small hooks are out of the way and don’t affect anything- just an added bonus. Or I can take them out for you. With the van, I’m including the twin blow up mattress (used once) that fits just nicely in the back along with the air blower. Also, the Haynes repair manual, a new thermostat housing (it doesn’t need it, but when I was having the water pump/thermostat replaced, I bought one in case it looked like it should be changed), two 8’X10’ tarps (was planning on using them as shelters attached to the van during camping), 2” ball tow hitch, and the gray carpet. Many service and repair records dating back to 2004. In the pictures, I haven’t yet reassembled the back bench seat/bed. I plan on getting to that in the next day or two and giving the van a good clean down including the wheels. Repairs/maintenance Rear Radio speakers- April 2010 Catalytic converter- April 2010 (based on what the lady I bought it from told me) A/C charge- July 2010 (did myself) Wheel bearings- July 2010 (did myself) Output speed sensor- July 2010 (did myself) New battery- July 2010 (did myself) Air filter- July 2010 (did myself) A/C blower motor- August 2010 (Brake Masters) A/C blower motor resistor/wiring harness/fuse- August 2010 (did myself) Brake pads/brake rotor/calipers bled- September 2010 (did myself) Tranny flush, engine flush, windshield wiper blades, 4 new tires- September 2010 (Econo Lube, Discount Tires) Water pump, thermostat, gaskets, tail light- October 2010 (Pep Boys) Ball bearings and alignment- January 2011 (Tires Plus) The bad:What it needs: New windshield- The one it has works perfectly fine, but it does have a crack in it. It’s very low so it doesn’t affect drivability, but does goes across from driver’s side to passenger’s side. $300 Side door button fixed- I pushed in and pulled too hard on the last trip, so something disengaged in there. You can still open the door from the inside and by opening the passenger door and pulling the lever, but the button needs to be fixed if you want to open this door from the outside. Pull off the paneling and do it yourself or take it in and have it done for $120 Wheel bearings repacked- $100 Catalytic Converter/o2 sensor- Check engine light is on and comes back with P420 code- which is the catalytic converter or o2 sensor depending on who you ask. Van runs absolutely fine without changing out the catalytic converter/o2 sensor, but if your state requires inspection, you’ll need to get a new one/this one rebuilt. No performance loss and I use premium gas about every 5th tank just to flush out the catalytic converter in case that’s what’s wrong. If you want to take off the catalytic converter and your state doesn’t require inspection, in my experience it will not affect performance. However, you could have a lot of “green” advocates get all over you for it. The lady I bought the van from stated that she had recently replaced the converter and one o2 sensor in April 2010. So it may actually be the other o2 sensor that’s out. I can provide the emails from her where she stated this when I was looking to buy the van back in June. $150-$600 Curtains/blinds- It still has blinds for the two back side windows and attachments for the front driver’s side window/door windows on passenger side. I was intending to make curtains for it. Nice, thick velvet ones. Dent/scratch repair- There is a dent/scratch on the passenger side at the back side door. It does not affect the operation of the door but you can see where someone tried to do something else there, too. There is a scrape along the running board on passenger side. Probably done the same time the dent was. I bought the van like this. On the driver’s side, the running board at the foot bumper has a crack. The running board over the tire has a scrape. For the winning bidder, half of the winning bid amount (50%) is due within 48 hours of auction close. The balance is due within 4 days of auction close. I do not have a specific time frame of when you have to pick up/arrange for shipping. The van is good where it’s parked and I start it up and drive it to the store and back about once a week. If you want me to do some of the repairs/replacements before you pick it up/arrange for shipping, I can do that. No time frame on when you send the money for repairs/replacement or arrange for shipping, however I will be moving from Jacksonville in June. You either have to arrange for delivery/storage by then OR consent to me moving it where I go. If you are the winning bidder and your winning bid is $5000+ or you use the buy it now option, I will make all the repairs (except for the dent) as well as deliver anywhere in the continental US for free. Instead of you spending time getting this van back to pristine condition, I'll do it for you! I just want this van to go to someone that will appreciate it and use it. If you are the winning bidder and your winning bid is $7000+, I will make all the repairs, deliver anywhere in the continental US, and repair the dent/get a paint job if you like. I will also go ahead and replace the spark plugs and give it a specialized tune up. The interior/exterior of the van will be in like new condition at that point. It already has a strong motor/tranny. If you are the winning bidder at any amount and you’d like all/some of the repairs (cosmetic and mechanical) done before the van travels to you, please feel free to let me know what you’d like done. I have no problem taking care of something for you provided you pay the cost of repair. For example, if your winning bid is $2000 and you want the wheel bearings done and carpet replaced, your total would be $2500. ($100 for bearings packed, $400 for carpet) Please ask any questions you have prior to bidding. I've done my best to completely describe the condition of the van as I know sight unseen it's hard to gauge the condition of vehicles. I don't want any surprises for anyone. I'm willing to work with the buyer/winning bidder on any repairs or shipping. I would be happy to deliver to you anywhere in the continental US for the cost of fuel and expenses.
