PROVENANCE= This is a very early vin #, rare and low production strike year 1972 455 H.O. TRANS AM. (PHS) documented, low mileage, Numbers matching, california car. Believe 3 owners CA./AR./IA. Many reciepts dating back to 1990, This is an opportunity for a key date Pontiac to be in your collection. INTERIOR= A/C,PW,TILT, AUTO,the interior is basically original with light wear, the dash has 2 cracks, the driver seat is letting go of threads on bottom. looks like good original carpet, no matts, good headliner and door panels, all parts are pretty nice with no chalky or dry plastic problems. a new driver seat cover and dash pad+ a good cleaning would be in order. The original am /fm/8 track stereo looks and functions good, Window motors and Guages do work. DRIVETRAIN= All factory stock orig. Round port, Alum intake, 455 H.O., Ram Air, Automatic/ Safe-T-track differential. the engine and trans were rebuilt in 1991, brakes/diff/accesories are in good order. the air compressor was put in a box. it comes with the car as does the orig master cyl. Fluids are good, Tranny pan leaks, older exhaust. good tires. Ram air scoop works UNDERCARRIAGE= solid rot free, original. BODY= Rot free cali car, Retains the rare and better styled front lower valance panel that came on early 72 trans ams. weather seals are decent, the sweeps and felts for driver door need new., solid everywhere. had old filler work on left front fender and is hairline cracked from age(look @ pic) maybe some old minor filler work in other spots but i checked car with magnet and no holes, most of car car was repainted/decals in 1992, all hood/trunk/door jambs are original paint. All chrome is very nice, lenses are great, Original power beam headlamps, Paint finish is good and presentable but not without chips scratches and touchups, some flaking of edges. Factory tinted sofray glass is good with a small scratch line on driver inside of glass from worn felt. Pontiac letters removed from rear panel when refinished. TRUNK= good and solid, has carpet and pad , with spare and jack w/tool.
