1999 VW New Beetle Exterior: Red Interior: Black Car was driven into a flooded area. The water level reached just below the top of the tire. When the door opened water got in and on the carpets. It was towed to a mechanics shop and their the engine parts were dried by the mechanic. I drove it home about 30 minutes a few days later. The engine does run(I drove it) but the battery is completely dead. Brakes need replacement and fluids need to be changed. Needs to be detailed. Speedometer gauges do not work(since like 2006) but original and 2007 updated versions are included. Driver side handle needs to be screwed in. Oil light is on.(Have not changed the fluids in a while) Check engine light is on.(Mechanic told us it was the oxygen sensor.) It was on before this happened. New Brake pads/fluid/oil filter included 2005 updated CD Player installed(In safe mode-VW will give you the codes to unlock for free)The paint is in good condition as I waxed her all the time. The gas tank door does not stay shut and its missing a few cup holders and a small plastic piece in the center console. This stuff you can find at a junk yard for a few dollars. Some speakers are blown but I would update them anyway because the new monsoon cd player deserves something extra. I am explaining all of the minor things so their are no surprises later!This car was running strong and still will with a person that has the time to fix her. I wanted to keep and restore her like the classic beetles but college is expensive. 101,389 miles Title is CLEAR but with a lien that is satisfied. It will come with a document form the bank saying such. This car can make someone really happy if you have the time to restore her. Car is not registered and does not start because battery is completely dead. I had it running a few weeks ago by jumping it. It will need to be towed. Car will be sold as is. Great MPG!
