Vehicle Detail

I bought this car less than one year ago and planned to keep it forever. I am a mechanic and have put thousands of dollars into this vehicle. Here is just some of what I have done to this car. Brand NEW BMW 18" wheels front and rear including center caps $1600Brand NEW Michelin Z rated tires front and rear $950Brand NEW drive-shaftValve cover gasket replacement $1200Transmission oil and filter change $800 (I know they say it is lifetime fluid but that is nonsense)Brand NEW electric radiator fanBrand NEW engine drive beltsEngine oil and filter change around 2,000 miles agoRear axle fluid changeEvery filter in the vehicle was replaced including the engine air filters, fresh air cabin filters (located in hood) and interior carbon micro filtersThis vehicle is equipped with an on board Navigation system. I purchased the newest DVD set and upgraded the software and it includes all of the discs for all parts of the countryBrand NEW BMW floor mats including all of the factory Velcro holdersI replaced the steering wheel cruise control and radio buttons with brand NEW factory BMW partsBoth headlight seals were replaced including the lens seal and the hood to lens sealsAll of the tie rods were replaced with brand NEW parts and the vehicle had a computerized 4-wheel alignmentI had a professional leather company completely clean and condition all of the leather in the interiorBoth MAP sensors were replacedReplaced both headlamp squirter's with NEW factory BMW partsReplaced washer bottle pump with brand NEW BMW partI installed an all-weather factory NEW BMW rubber mat in the trunk which just lifts outDouble Paned door glassVehicle passed emission inspection and is titled and registered in TexasAll books and manuals are with the vehicleI honestly cannot remember every single thing I have done but many little screws or clips and other miscellaneous items that needed replaced, got replaced. All in all there isn't one single thing on this car that doesn't function properly (except the cell phone, it actually works but is analog and you can't get a carrier for service) There are no missing LED lines or lights in the dash. The A/C is phenomenal. The heater works perfectlyThe navigation system works perfectlyThe stereo system works perfectlyAll of the power seats work perfectly (all of the seats front and back are power and heated)Rear A/C and heater works perfectlyEvery interior light works perfectlyEvery exterior light works perfectlyCruise control works perfectlyI had the windows tinted with legal tint by a professional tinting company. There is not one single item I can think of that doesn't work the way it was designed. This car was $92,000 brand new in 2001. It was absolute state of the art and is still a better made car than many high end vehicles being produced today. It has incredible leg room in the front and the rear. There really wasn't anything majorly wrong with this car when I bought it. I am just a stickler for detail and have been restoring cars since I was in high school and this particular car was a new endeavor for me. Not that it needed restoring, it just needed some wearable parts replaced. The engine purrs, the trans shifts perfectly and it makes me sick to have to sell it but "life" has gotten in the way and I do not have a choice. I am not a dealer and I do not work for a dealer. This is my own personal car with my own personalized plates on it and I can almost guarantee you this is the cleanest, straightest mechanically sound 2001 750iL on the road today. There may be others but they aren't for sale that I can see. All of the ones I see are from car lots who don't know crap about the car and do not put any money in them unless they absolutely have to. In case you are wondering the 750 is a 12 cylinder engine and the 740 is an 8 cylinder. There are other differences too like overall length, leg room etc. As far as what is wrong with the car...Just some minor paint chips or tiny little scratches here and there. Probably less than most 10 year old cars. The car doesn't appear to ever have been smoked in. The interior is beautiful and free of any rips or tears or stains. Just some very, very minor, very normal fingernail scratches here and there. Pretty much nothing you would notice unless you were looking for it. I own the car clean and free of any lien and will help in any way that I can to have the car shipped if you need it. I can take as many pictures as you like and even record some video and email it to you or post to YouTube if you like. Just ask me anything you want and I will get you the answer. So, with all of this said, it is important for me to point out this is a ten year old car and anything could go wrong at any time and there isn't a warranty on any of it. Please feel very comfortable buying this car though, I absolutely love it and all of my friends and family think it is the boss. Just the coolest way to own a V-12 ultra-luxury car at a fraction of the price of a new one. The engineering behind this car is really just mind blowing, even 10 years after it was built. I know the KBB says the value of this car is around $15,000 but I have literally put about $6,000 into it since April 2010 when I bought it. Don't hesitate to ask me for anything and I will get it to you straight away.
