1998 Honda Accord EX 4 dr sedan with 192,312 miles. Dark green metallic finish. 2.3 liter 4 cyl VTEC engine. FEATURES: 2.3 liter 4 cylinder VTEC engine, 4 speed Automatic transmission, Air conditioning, Moonroof, Cruise control, Anti-lock disk brakes, Power steering, Power door locks, Keyless remotes (2), AM/FM/CD Audio system, Security system & more. CONDITION: The interior is in excellent condition with very little wear and smoke free. The body of the car is solid and does not have any rust. The exterior has a dent in right front fender and a dent in the trunk lid. There are some scrapes on the finish. There is also some sun damage to the finish. This basically consists of the clear coat having deteriorated in some areas on top. The paint has been touched up on the hood, roof and trunk lid. The transmission needs work. The car can be driven under its own power, but only in second gear. The engine runs fine and does not burn oil. It consistently gets 30 mpg on the highway. The air conditioner works good. The starter motor was replaced about 6 months ago. Tires are in good condition and the car has a new battery. All other systems are working properly except the backlight on the clock is not working and the trunk light works intermittently. HISTORY: I am the second owner, my son was the first. On Jan-18-11 at 07:00:39 PST, seller added the following information: RECENT HISTORY This car was driven over 9000 miles during a month-long trip in August and September 2010. During that time, we had to have the starter motor replaced and we changed the oil once in California. No additional oil was needed or used. After returning home the car was driven locally with no problems but on a short trip at Thanksgiving time, the transmission started shifting erratically in 3 and 4th on the homeward leg and we made it home in 2nd gear. The transmission fluid was changed but that has not made any difference in what the transmission will do. The fluid drained was dirty but not burned. Metallic residue on the drain plug was pasty but no grittyness was detected. This was the first time the transmission fluid was changed since I owned the car.
