Up for Auction at NR; A 1973 Corvette L-48 350 /400 trans. Roadster (convertible).This is an original Mille-Miglia Red/oxblood interior car that still has it's original matching# engine/transmission and needs Restoration but is 98% complete.The exterior was a victim of a Seventies styling excercise ( Wheel flares) which were removed by a Novice previous to my purchase. The front clip was damaged as a result and i replaced it with a correct 1973 GM front clip (all bonding strips intact) which has not been bonded to the car yet. The Rear 1/4's are also new and haven't been bonded yet either.These areas being loose are a real help if restoring the car properly.The correct Cold air induction hood/air cleaner are present.This car was NOT wrecked and includes all the Headlight assy's, Grilles, brackets, lower valance and original bumper beam which are straight and untouched. I purchased this car in 2009 to restore for my wife but found something with less effort/time involved so it's "time to go".The Windshield posts are nice,Upper cowl inner/outer super clean (No Repairs ever) Birdcage #2 Body mounts Super Clean, #3 Body mounts on cage need replacement (Zip Products).The inner door areas have no Rust thru.The radiator core support is clean/no rot.The frame is Scale free, rock solid and nice and i checked all of it carefully before I purchased it myself (the kick ups are excellent). The interior is what i would consider above average and really shows well.The dash pad is crack free ($),The gauges and Tach/speedo have crisp,clear faces and even the carpet looks nice.The door panels and Pillar post trim have some dryness cracks (Typical) The seat covers are genuine leather factory style. The Factory options are; PS, PB, PW, car has NO A/C or Hardtop/Tilt tele column. The engine Runs great, starts first crank every time and trans goes right into gear.The Radiator was replaced with with a new 4 core (450.00) and oil was changed and serviced. I have not driven this car on the Road for obvious reasons, so it should be considered for Trailering to your location but will yard drive easily.The calipers were upgraded to Stainless units and the car has good brakes/pedal. The Convertible top Fabric is toast/needs replacement and top rack works fine.The spare tire carrier and Original jack are included. Also included in the Auction is a GM NOS RH Fender (300.00), new body mount kit (150.00), Delco reaktec Gas shocks (4) 140.00, New Front and rear Handling springs (250.00), New HD front sway bar/kit (140.00) and some misc small parts/emblems. This is a serious project but worth the effort because of the ORIGINAL drivetrain/ Color /C3 convertible aspect. A lot of the Key areas are "ahead of the Curve" .
