1983 Mercedes 300D diesel. Bought this car last summer from a man who could not get it running. I brought it home changed the fuel pump, put a battery out of my truck in it and it started right up. The car had been sitting for probably around four year. The rear window was smashed out and the radio was stollen. the body of the car is in good shape with no rust and only a fiew minor dings on the passenger side. Frame is solid. car has power window that are working except for the one in the drivers door and that one sounds like a linkage problem because you can hear the window motor run when you push the button. Interior is in poor condition. have the title in hand. The title for some reason came back with the wrong milage written on it, (it says 240000 miles) I called the notaries and it would have taken more money out of my pocket to get it fix so i did not do it. Mercedes is sold as is this car has been sitting and will need a little more work to put it back on the road. I have driven it around the block and it moves and rides good. Brakes work but seem a little spongy. The mercedes has a vacuum leak so to shut off the motor currently you have to go under the hood and push the stop button on the motor to turn off the car. IThe car will need a battery, I can funish a battery to get it moved onto your trailer after that the battery has to go back in my truck. Thanks for looking.
