A true round head light Wagoneer that is 100% original and unmolested. 1978 Jeep (AMC) Wagoneer with Automatic Trans w/ Legendary Quadra Trac 4 Wheel Drive. This vehicle has the 360 V8 and 101, 850 original miles. As you can see this vehicle has been garaged most of its life and as a result it still has original paint and sheet metal. The chrome and all rubber window seals are in very good condition w/ no leaks. It has a brand new head liner and interior is in good condition and 100% original. Original spare w/ cover in the cargo area. Still has all original jack and vehicle tools in the rear compartment. Jeep has tilt wheel, power brakes, power steering, 4 Wheel Drive (full time) w/ the Emergency Drive switch in the glove box (and works just fine – Light Works too). Jeep has 4 brand new P235/75R/15 white wall tires. This Jeep was used for local vehicle in western NC and garaged in a summer home. The last owner would drive or fly up from Florida and use the Jeep when he was in the mountains as his run-around vehicle and for getting around in the snow. Last owner also added an extra fuel tank (12 gallons where spare tire would be mounted underneath) as he used to tow and mid-size air stream camper with it, so Jeep has a nice class 3 trailer hitch and electric braking mechanism under the dash. This vehicle has all service records and I am the third owner. The first Owner bought the Jeep new in Colorado and it was sold to the gentlemen in Florida sometime after that. Jeep came with 401 V8 big block and when it was new but was changed to 360 V8 sometime with second owner. I estimate current engine w/ 40,000.00 or less. This Jeep is very solid and has no major rust anywhere, period. There is very small surface rust around the lower portion of trail gate and one rear quarter, but very minor. All exterior and interior lights work (all) to include back-up lights…..that’s the kind of shape this vehicle is in. This Jeep would make the perfect vehicle to drive now, or restore with little money. The fuel gauge does not work and needs a new exhaust pipe (hole in middle of pipe under driver area). No leaks and no smoke from this Jeep. It drives and runs down the road very well. The 4 Wheel Drive works very well and this Jeep (w/ emergency drive engaged is a tank). Also, the Jeep has factory air conditioning and system works, but compressor has a small leak, so the Freon seeps out after a couple days.
