1971 Chevy Nova SS Clone Project Car You are looking at a nice 1971 Chevy Nova SS Clone that I was in the process of building. I had originally planned on completing it; however, after coming across the classic that I really wanted to build (a 1964 Impala SS), I cannot afford to build both. It is a 1971 Nova that I was going to make into an SS Clone. I have put lots of money and time into the car, so someone will get a nice project to continue. The floor pans and trunk floor are new, so that's one less headache for anyone to deal with. I put on new quarter skins on both sides (from about the body line down), as well as outer wheel houses on both sides. As you can see I also purchased a new steel cowl induction hood for the car. I also have new pins and bushing in the door hinges on both sides. The car is painted with PPG basecoat/clearcoat. The color is 69 Camaro Z-28 Hugger Orange with white SS stripes. The stripes are painted and under the clearcoat. The clear has been finish sanded and buffed to a very shiny, glass-like luster. The car was disassembled for paint; therefore, the underside of the hood and deck lid, as well as inside the doors, look as good as the exterior. On a bright day it's hard to look right as this beautiful car. The interior sports a new black dash pad, as well as new door panel and real trim upholstery (Whatever you call the upholstery in the back). I also have a new package tray and new pad the comes with the car. I have the seats that came out of the car; however, they still need re-upholstered and they do come with the car. Side note...the metal part of the dash was painted to match the exterior color of the car. The engine in the car is a small block Chevy. It has an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake. I have not started the engine; however, I did inspect the internals and everything appeared to be good. The previous owner of the engine stated it was a running engine, but I cannot verify that. I did degrease and detail the engine before installation. Both motor mounts are new, as well as a new fuel pump, water pump, and oil pan gasket was installed. It does have a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission that comes with it; however, I don't know anything about its condition. Some miscellaneous items I have are 15" Camaro Rally Wheels, which are on the car, that come with the auction. Only two have center caps and trim rings. The car has multi-leaf springs on the rear and new shackles and bushings. All of the glass is good except for the front windshield, but none of it is installed currently. A new front windshield is easy to find. I have lots of miscellaneous parts that come with the car such as door handles, door lock cylinders, side marker lights, etc. The car was essentially complete upon disassembly so I should have almost every part to put it back together. At the end of the video you can see all of the parts that come with the car. This would make a great winter project for someone who had the time to finish it up.
