NO RESERVE! You are bidding on a 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500 convertible that was purchased new in mid-1999 for $80,000. The car has very low miles at 71,942 (an average of just 6,000 miles per year). Red exterior, tan top, and tan leather interior as seen in the photos.. The car is very clean for it's age and has never been smoked in. There are no rips or cracks in the leather seats. All of the power accessories are in working order except for the top which can still be raised and lowered manually. It has the optional factory premium Bose system which consists of the radio, a trunk mounted 6-CD changer, a Bose subwoofer, and Bose speakers. The Yokohama tires are newer and in excellent condition. It has a brand new battery, fuel pump, and fuel filter. Clarification: The vehicle was purchased new in 1999 and was a one owner car until 2008. In 2003 the original owner switched the car from a corporate owned vehicle to his personal vehicle and although Carfax recognizes that it's the same owner, the Experian Auto-Check report with eBay counts it as a separate owner. I obtained this car in 2008 from the estate of the original owner. I have driven it less than 700 miles in 2 years (approx 30 miles/month) and have only kept it this long for sentimental reasons. In 2006, a police/accident report comes up on the Carfax. I've been informed that it was a parking lot incident. It was very minor. None of the 4 airbags were deployed, no injuries, etc...
